SUMMARY

The Systems Support Administrator provides advanced technical support and systems administration for Skyport Hospitality locations. Serving as the primary escalation point for complex IT issues, this role is responsible for maintaining system performance, supporting endpoint and infrastructure operations, managing IT assets, and assisting with system maintenance and deployments. The position works closely with the IT Support and Systems Administration teams to ensure reliable, standardized technology operations across the organization.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical issues involving POS systems, networking, endpoints, operational technology, AV systems, digital menu boards, audio/display integrations, and surveillance systems.
  • Collaborate with vendors, IT Support Technicians, internal teams, and the Systems Administration Team to resolve persistent issues, document findings, and escalate systemic concerns when necessary.
  • Provide endpoint and user support, including user account administration, SaaS platform support, laptop imaging, configuration, deployment, and maintenance of endpoint provisioning processes.
  • Assist with system upgrades, deployments, rollouts, server patching, updates, and validation of system functionality during scheduled maintenance windows, including after-hours support as required.
  • Manage the IT asset lifecycle by coordinating equipment procurement, maintaining accurate inventory records, tracking deployment, replacement, and decommissioning activities, and monitoring inventory levels to ensure availability of approved hardware and equipment.
  • Identify recurring technical issues and opportunities for improvement, recommending solutions and assisting with the standardization of system configurations, deployment practices, and support processes.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to IT Support Technicians and Field Service Technicians to ensure consistent service delivery and successful technology deployments across all locations.
  • Provide support desk coverage as needed, including during employee absences, emergency staffing situations, on-call support periods, and other operational needs to ensure uninterrupted IT service delivery.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and endpoint management.
  • Working knowledge of POS systems and networking concepts.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively support multiple locations and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Occasional travel and after-hours maintenance support may be required.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related technical field preferred.
  • 3-6 years of IT support experience, including the resolution of escalated technical issues.
  • Experience supporting POS systems, networked environments, and endpoint deployment/imaging.
  • Experience providing support across multiple locations preferred.
  • Exposure to server administration and maintenance activities preferred.
  • Relevant technical certifications preferred, including CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft or Azure Fundamentals, and/or CCNA.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Airport: This position operates in a climate-controlled international airport environment. The temperature, volume of noise, and exposure to the public are outside the control of First Meridian Services, Inc. The position requires use of public spaces as provided by the airport.

Restaurant: This position may require frequent exposure to a restaurant or retail operation environment. Regular exposure to varying temperatures (hot/cold/freezing), fumes, vapors, industrial restaurant equipment, noise, and guests will be a common occurrence.

Corporate: Normal office environment with standard lighting and average noise levels.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Sitting, standing or walking for extended periods of time. Use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools and other computer components. Lifting and transporting moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals, up to 50 pounds.
