Summary:

The IT Systems Supervisor leads the team responsible for administering, supporting, enhancing, and optimizing the organization's enterprise business applications. This role oversees systems that support financial, operational, and business processes, including the ERP platforms, financial systems, and related integrations and business applications.

The IT Systems Supervisor ensures enterprise applications remain reliable, secure, and aligned with business requirements by providing technical leadership, supervising assigned staff, coordinating vendor relationships, and partnering with business stakeholders to drive continuous improvement. This position serves as a key liaison between Information Technology, application vendors, and business departments to support organizational objectives and maximize value from enterprise systems.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of enterprise business applications including administration, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, documentation, and user support.
  • Supervise, coach, and evaluate assigned Systems Staff; establish priorities, manage workloads, and ensure service levels are achieved.
  • Provide leadership for the administration and support of ERP, Financials, and related enterprise business systems.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify operational challenges, gather requirements, and recommend system improvements that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participate in the planning, testing, implementation, and support of application upgrades, new functionality, integrations, and business process improvements.
  • Coordinate with software vendors, consultants, and support providers to resolve issues, manage service relationships, and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Monitor application performance, availability, and data integrity; implement proactive measures to reduce incidents and improve system reliability. Participate in planning and executing disaster recovery and system backups..
  • Lead application-related projects from requirements gathering through deployment, user adoption, and transition to ongoing support.
  • Develop and maintain application documentation, system procedures, support standards, and knowledge resources.
  • Partner with business leaders to establish priorities for system enhancements and process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the development and management of enterprise application budgets, software maintenance agreements, licensing, and vendor contracts.
  • Support audit, compliance, cybersecurity, and data governance initiatives affecting enterprise applications.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, software solutions, and industry trends to determine business value and applicability.
  • Communicate project status, system issues, risks, and recommendations to IT leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Participate in after-hours support activities and major system implementations as required.


Minimum Skills and Qualifications:

  • Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
    • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise business applications, ERP systems, financial systems, or related technologies.
    • 2+ years of leadership experience supervising technical staff, leading projects, or coordinating application support teams.
    • Experience gathering business requirements and translating operational needs into technology solutions.
    • Strong understanding of application lifecycle management, change management, testing methodologies, and system implementation practices.
    • Experience managing vendor relationships, software licensing, and third-party support providers.
    • Ability to travel to company locations as needed; valid driver's license required.
    • Availability for occasional after-hours support during system upgrades, maintenance activities, and critical incidents
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience supporting DBS ERP, CODA Financials by Unit4, or similar enterprise business systems.
    • Experience within manufacturing, equipment distribution, heavy equipment, construction, or industrial organizations.
    • Experience with application integrations, data interfaces, reporting platforms, and business process automation.
    • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences.
    • Strong organizational and prioritization skills; able to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:
Primary work is performed in an office environment. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods; use hands for keyboarding and operation of computer equipment; and occasionally bend, kneel, reach, and lift office equipment or materials. Must be able to verbally communicate and exchange information with employees, vendors, and business partners. Noise levels are generally consistent with a professional office environment.
