Full Job Description
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

Reporting to the Executive Director- Infrastructure Services, the IT Systems Administrator is a key member of OIT's networking and applications teams, responsible for installing, securing, upgrading, and troubleshooting various windows/Linux based systems in a VMWare Hypervisor cluster. Other systems include Microsoft System Center, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Identity Management. Performs related duties as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Administers, manages and supports the district's information technology applications and services such as, but not limited to, DNS/DHCP Services, Active Directory Sites and Services, virtual machines (VM) operations, cloud-based systems and associated applications and services.
• Implements and administers new and existing Windows and Linux servers to include server virtualization, storage area network (SAN) technology, and cluster system.
• Administers and manages the Microsoft Active Directory environments to include ADFS, system center configuration manager (SCCM), SQL databases, Role-based security, Certificate-based security and Office365.
• Performs daily system monitoring verifying the integrity and availability of all systems and key processes, ensures completion of scheduled jobs such as backups while reacting to associated outage alerts.
• Anticipates impact of growth in operational areas, provides capacity planning, and recommends design and/or process changes.
• Plans, coordinates, implements, and monitors network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware and ensures that appropriate security and enhancement patches are applied.
• Assists in daily system checks, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, and backup data replicated from site to site.
• Participates in disaster recovery and business continuity planning including assisting with fault tolerance and contributing to the design of disaster recovery plans.
• Provides support to Networking and Application teams with server provisioning, tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Follows and updates Change Management, Version Control and Standard Operating practices and procedures.
• Works with other OIT groups and other CCC teams to resolve technical issues.
• Documents and reports status on upgrade related tasks and maintain error logs and other technical documentation related to system administration support.
• Works collaboratively with IT teams to plan and implement network infrastructure and remains up to date on emerging technologies to optimize system performance.
• Adheres to CCC Customer Service Excellence standards.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in IT or a related field
• Three years of work experience in IT systems administration, or equivalent systems implementation project experience
• Knowledge of Office 365, Microsoft Azure Active Directory, and Intune is a plus
• Solid understanding of the various Windows Server roles including Active Directory DNS, DHCP, Certificate Authority, ADFS, IIS, VPN, and File/Print Management is preferred
• Experience with troubleshooting Windows server network connection, service automation, Active Directory Group Policies, Configuration Management, ADFS and Identity Management
• Experience with NTFS filesystem repairs, various filesystem migration and imaging, disk arrays, storage area network (SAN)
• Experience with Linux system integration to Microsoft AD authentication, Network File Sharing, Linux OS upgrade
• Experience with troubleshooting TCP/IP WAN & VLAN communication, firewall, routing, and IP-Sec tunnel is a plus
• Good business communication skills
• Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team
• Ability to prepare technical documentations of system diagrams and task sequences
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize
• Ability to work a varied work schedule during off-business maintenance hours and emergencies including night, weekend, or holidays
• Must be accessible via cell phone for technical emergencies

Salary Range: $81,085 - $89,193.50

Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as other factors such as internal equity.
