Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as a IT Support Technician, Journeyman to work out of Shriever SFB, CO.

PAY: $98,000-$102,000

JOB SUMMARY:

This role is integral to ensuring the operational readiness of IT systems supporting national security. You'll provide hands-on technical support, troubleshooting software, hardware, and network issues, and directly contribute to maintaining system uptime and reliability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

System Maintenance & Support
  • Operate and maintain networked and standalone systems across Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret-SCI levels.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and track IT-related issues through a government-provided trouble ticket system.
  • Support Tier I, II, and III help desk functions, ensuring timely resolution of all IT-related inquiries.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and internal teams to isolate and resolve system faults.

User Access Management
  • Manage user accounts for both classified and unclassified networks, including account creation, deletion, and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with network procedures for provisioning and de-provisioning access on NIPRNet.
  • Maintain and process User Access Request forms in accordance with established guidelines.

Hardware & Software Support
  • Perform installations, configurations, and troubleshooting for Windows and Apple PCs, network printers, and software.
  • Plan and execute technical refreshes of networked systems, ensuring smooth transitions and continued functionality.
  • Provide technical support for applications and hardware used within the facility, ensuring systems remain operational at all times.

Collaboration & Communication
  • Act as the first line of customer support, providing timely responses to walk-up, phone, and email inquiries.
  • Track communication system outages, assign ticket numbers, and maintain a historical record of problem resolutions.
  • Facilitate the scheduling and coordination of VTCs (Video Teleconferences) and other technical services.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Execute additional duties as assigned, with flexibility during National Exercises.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 2 years of IT technical support and computer maintenance.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
  • Associate's degree is preferred; additional years of experience may be used in lieu of education.
  • CompTia Security + with CE
