This role will initially oversee a team supporting mainframe-based integrations, ensuring stability, reliability, and continuity of business-critical data flows. In parallel, the role will transition into leading a modern enterprise integrations and .NET development team, driving API-based integrations, data platform connectivity, and reporting/analytics enablement (e.g., Power BI).

This leader will play a key role in bridging legacy and future-state architectures, enabling the organization's transition toward a scalable, cloud-enabled integration and data ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

1. Integration Strategy & Architecture

  • Define and execute the enterprise integration strategy spanning legacy and modern platforms
  • Establish integration patterns (APIs, messaging, ETL, event-driven) and standards
  • Partner with Data & Analytics leadership to align integrations with data lake and reporting initiatives

2. Legacy System Leadership (Interim)

  • Lead the team supporting mainframe/legacy integrations and interfaces
  • Ensure stability, performance, and reliability of existing integrations
  • Document and rationalize current-state integrations and dependencies
  • Develop a roadmap for coexistence, simplification, and eventual decommissioning of legacy systems

3. Modern Integration & .NET Leadership (Future State)

  • Transition into leadership of a .NET-based integrations and development team
  • Oversee development of APIs, services, and integration components (.NET, C#, Web APIs)
  • Drive modernization toward reusable, scalable integration services
  • Align development efforts with enterprise architecture and cloud platform (Azure preferred)

4. Data Platform & Reporting Integration

  • Enable integration with enterprise data platforms (data lake, Azure SQL, etc.)
  • Support ingestion pipelines for analytics and reporting use cases
  • Collaborate with Power BI and analytics teams to deliver reliable, governed data flows
  • Improve data quality, consistency, and governance across systems

5. Integration Delivery & Platform Management

  • Oversee APIs, middleware, ETL pipelines, and system interfaces
  • Manage integration lifecycle (design, build, deploy, monitor, optimize)
  • Ensure performance, scalability, and observability of integrations
  • Support SQL Server and data integration performance tuning

6. Team Leadership & Transition Management

Lead a hybrid team of:
  • Legacy/mainframe integration resources (short-term)
  • Modern integration engineers and .NET developers (long-term)
  • Drive transition planning from legacy skillsets to modern integration capabilities
  • Manage Agile delivery, backlog prioritization, and capacity planning

7. Governance, Security & Compliance

  • Establish integration governance, standards, and documentation practices
