Summary

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Duties

  • You will develop and/or aid with policy and procedure development to ensure information systems reliability and accessibility in order to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data.
  • You will plan for conducting systems security evaluations, audits, and reviews.
  • You will develop systems security contingency plans and disaster recovery procedures.
  • You will ensure rigorous application of cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of all IT services.
  • You will facilitate the gathering, analysis, and preservation of evidence in the prosecution of computer crimes as required.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 722, proficiency level Intermediate. The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.


Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band (NH-02) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Conducting risk and vulnerability assessments of information systems, developing system contingency and disaster recovery plans, participating in network and systems design, promoting awareness of cybersecurity principles, and planning for systems security evaluations, audits, and reviews.
