Overview of the role:

The Senior Manager's primary responsibility is to lead a team of network and telecom experts supporting Saputo's global infrastructure, ensuring the highest performance, reliability and security for our enterprise networks, connectivity and telecommunications across campus, data center, cloud and WAN/edge. The Senior Manager owns the overall architecture of the network, associated tooling, automation and service delivery - delivering a network that is cloud-first, secure-by-design and increasingly automated, built on Zero Trust principles and the convergence of IT and OT (plant/operational technology) environments that keep our manufacturing operations running.

How you will make contributions that matter:

  • Provide day-to-day operational management overseeing the installation, configuration, monitoring and maintenance of enterprise network, security-edge and telecommunications infrastructure across all regions
  • Manage a global team of local and remote team members and build capability in automation, cloud and security
  • Continually evolve monitoring, observability and automated remediation to proactively address network performance and reliability, moving from reactive support toward proactive operations
  • Work closely with IT & Cybersecurity Services to embed secure-by-design and Zero Trust controls into network changes, lead IT/OT network convergence and segmentation for plant/manufacturing environments, and develop efficient operational processes
  • Lead global projects and operational teams
  • Lead and participate in project planning, design, budgeting and key decisions, including FinOps and cost optimization across CAPEX and OPEX
  • Advance SD-WAN and SASE convergence, cloud and hybrid networking, and network automation to standardize and scale operations
  • Communicate effectively with a diverse group of IT and business colleagues, including executive-level reporting
  • Encourage and enforce quality control, compliance and standard operating procedures
  • Manage the delivery of effective solutions when concerns or performance issues arise from within the team, business and support areas
  • Stay on top of the latest technologies and demonstrate creativity in finding solutions; analyze the company's technology needs and propose solutions
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with users, peers, vendors and service providers, and govern managed-service partners with clear accountability
  • Effectively lead and motivate a team of highly performing and highly technical staff
  • Be part of a 24/7 escalation management matrix
  • Be available for occasional travel


You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:
  • A minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience with large and complex enterprise network, telecommunications and security infrastructure. Direct leadership experience managing a technical team is an asset
  • Management and leadership skills, including the ability to influence and coordinate outside of direct reports in an international / multi-site environment
  • Proven experience with networking technologies (LAN/WAN/Wireless/VPN/Firewall), including SD-WAN, SASE/ZTNA, IPAM and load balancing
  • Experience with legacy VoIP and PBX technologies and their evolution to cloud UCaaS/CCaaS (e.g., Teams Phone, SIP trunking)
  • Experience to provision, install and operate networks, including network automation (e.g., Python, Ansible, Terraform, Git)
  • Cybersecurity and IT/OT security knowledge and frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001); OT/industrial network exposure is a strong asset
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve conflicts
  • Strong team spirit a passion for technology

Salary: $106,870 to $140,270

*Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training.
