Full Job Description
Castle Biosciences Inc. is growing, and we are looking to hire an IT, Security Engineer II working from our Scottsdale, AZ office location with a start date on or before July 15, 2026.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN IT, Security Engineer II

A typical day for a Security Engineer II involves managing and supporting the security posture of Castle Biosciences' IT environment. Responsibilities include serving as an escalation point for SNOC and Help Desk security-related issues. The role begins with monitoring and reviewing security dashboards, alerts, and threat activity, followed by engineering and project-based work. Approximately 60% of the role is focused on security projects, system improvements, and troubleshooting complex security and network-related issues. Daily activities include designing, implementing, and managing security controls across on-premises and cloud environments; monitoring, investigating, and responding to security incidents and vulnerabilities; and supporting compliance and security governance initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Occasional after-hours work may be required.
  • On-Call: Participation in a rotating on-call schedule required
  • After-Hours Work: May be required as needed
