Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in information security engineering, security operations, or cybersecurity infrastructure.
• One or more of the following certifications required: CompTIA Security+, GIAC (GSEC or similar), Cisco CCNA Security or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM platforms, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management tools.
• Experience configuring and supporting VPNs, secure network connectivity, and hybrid cloud security solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support the security posture of Castle Biosciences' IT environment.
• Serve as an escalation point for security-related issues from SNOC and Help Desk.
• Monitor and review security dashboards, alerts, and threat activity.
• Design, implement, and manage security controls across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities.
• Support compliance and security governance initiatives.
• Focus approximately 60% of time on security projects and system improvements.
