About the Role:

Tripoint Solutions is seeking an experienced IT Portfolio Manager to support an upcoming federal government contract. This role ensures that multiple IT projects and programs are aligned with organizational goals, deliver measurable business value, and optimize resource allocation. The ideal candidate will combine strong project management expertise with strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and portfolio governance experience.

Location: Washington, D.C. (Candidates must reside in D.C., Virginia, or Maryland) - Hybrid: On-site 1 day per week

Clearance Requirements:
  • Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation.
  • USA Citizenship is required.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Federal Public Trust

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the IT project portfolio, including prioritization, resource allocation, risk assessment, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to project managers to ensure successful project delivery across the portfolio.
  • Develop portfolio dashboards, KPIs, and reporting to track performance, benefits realization, and ROI.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to evaluate project proposals and determine strategic fit and resource requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate portfolio-level risks, dependencies, and conflicts.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of IT project or program management experience, with at least 2 years overseeing multiple projects or portfolios.
  • Strong understanding of IT project lifecycle, methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall), and portfolio management frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP), PMP, or PgMP certification.

  • Knowledge of budgeting, financial forecasting, and ROI analysis for IT initiatives.
