Full Job Description
IT Agile PM/Scrum Masters are responsible for the oversight and success of Information Technology and related Business projects. IT Agile PM/Scrum Masters manage the budgetary, scheduling and delivery of assigned initiatives in compliance with the standards and procedures of the PMO/Next Generation Delivery Organization. The PM/Scrum Master's primary focus is leading team-level execution, forming and building a team, removing impediments, and driving continuous improvement. They are responsible for managing all aspects of team delivery including schedule, scope, risks, dependencies, and issues. They facilitate the development of delivery plans and drive the plan through all phases of an execution lifecycle, or via a CI/CD process, through an assets in-service deployment to production and transition to IT Operations. They prepare plans and budgets to assure predictable delivery against organizational expectations. They develop and report project and team status to stakeholders and the appropriate governance committees. They maintain forecasts and utilize metrics to drive the achievement of desired results. IT Agile PM/Scrum Masters utilize Agile delivery methodologies and practices such as Scrum, Kanban, providing leadership for the successful delivery of projects. Essential Functions • Advocates and supports the policies, processes, and practices of the PMO/Next Generation Delivery Organization. • Develops and communicates plans to deliver major IT initiatives to the IT and business communities; devises the summary and delivery plans including key tasks and interdependencies, milestones, people required including skill levels, and other resource and support requirements. • Coaches leaders, teams, and stakeholders in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets. • Responsible for team metric reporting. Track the execution of features and stories; Escalate and track impediments. • Serves as the IT point of contact and the primary interface on initiatives where the business / user community has appointed a project or program manager. • Outlines the responsibilities of different principals / parties including customers, customer and IT management, team members, IT support groups, vendors, consultants, and affected or impacted groups. • Coordinates preparation of statements of work and specifications, estimation of product / service costs and pricing, and negotiation and administration of contracts. Assists with economic decision-making by facilitating feature and story estimation by teams. • Develops and oversees Agile scope management processes and customer acceptance throughout the delivery cycle. • Facilitates the conduct of Agile ceremonies. • Negotiates IT's interests and manage external vendor, contractor and material contracts. • Monitors budget and resource levels and advise principals as to developing trends and prepares periodic variance projections. • Ensures that dependencies outside the Team are understood and proactively managed. Ensures that risks and issues between teams and with the rest of the organization are understood and managed against expectations. • Ensures that all training and transition management activities are in place for the customer base, including coordinating process redesign, new procedures, and acceptance of new technologies and/or capabilities into daily use within the user community (done in conjunction with a business / user program manager if one has been appointed). • Leads the team to identify and implement continuous process improvements. Identifies and pursues opportunities to improve Team execution; recommend enhancements related to new and/or existing workflows. • Ensures communications, collaboration and coordination across teams, business partners, other areas of IT. • Develops and implements alternatives and/or solutions to mitigate problems, issues, conflicts, etc. • Provides thought leadership and expertise across the team and with internal and external team partners in achieving their commitments through issue, risk and dependency management. Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications: Technical Knowledge/Skill: • Exhibits a working knowledge of IT organization's business practices and strategies. Applies organizational knowledge and working knowledge of other related disciplines to effectively develop business solutions. Project Management Skills: • Demonstrates effective Agile execution, leadership and use of the methodology for run the business and moderate to large transformational projects with minimal coaching, knows when and how to effectively escalate. Education: • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Experience: • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience • Three to Five (3-5) year of Project Management experience • Five to eight (5-8) years of Agile delivery experience. • 3 years of Scrum Master experience Licenses & Certifications: • IT Agile Scrum Master - Intermediate: must be actively pursuing an Agile certification (as prescribed by the Next Generation Delivery Organization) • Fully Qualified or above, must possess a Certified Scrum Master certification. • PMP Certified or working towards the certification Working Conditions: • Must be available to work emergency storm assignment as required. • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary. #LI-Hybrid #LI-ES3 #corpajd Competencies: Build trusting relationships Manage and develop people Foster teamwork and cross-functional collaboration Lead change Communicate strategic vision Create an engaged workforce Focus on the customer Take ownership & accountability Compensation and Benefits: Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is: $131,740.00-$146,380.00 Worker Type: Regular Number of Openings: 1 Emergency Response: Responding to emergency situations to meet customers' needs is part of every employee's role. If employed, you will be given an Emergency Restoration assignment. This means you may be called to assist during an emergency outside of your normal responsibilities, work hours and location.
