Position Overview

Support a mission-critical Sponsor program in Chantilly, VA. This position serves as the central coordination point between technical teams, stakeholders, program leadership, and mission customers to ensure successful planning, integration, delivery, and sustainment of cyber-related systems, applications, and network capabilities.

The ideal candidate combines strong project management skills with technical acumen, requirements management experience, and the ability to translate complex technical initiatives into actionable plans and measurable outcomes. This role requires daily interaction with engineers, system administrators, software developers, cybersecurity professionals, and Sponsor stakeholders in a fast-paced operational environment. Similar government and industry project management roles emphasize lifecycle management, stakeholder coordination, requirements definition, risk management, and integration across technical workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate multiple technical projects supporting Sponsor cyber systems, enterprise applications, and network modernization initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary project integrator between Sponsor stakeholders, technical teams, and program leadership.
  • Gather, document, analyze, and manage system, application, and operational requirements.
  • Facilitate requirements elicitation sessions, technical exchange meetings, working groups, and stakeholder reviews.
  • Monitor project scope, schedule, dependencies, risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate system deployments, upgrades, testing activities, and transition-to-operations efforts.
  • Track action items and ensure timely completion of deliverables across multiple teams and organizations.
  • Prepare executive-level briefings, decision papers, dashboards, and project status reports.
  • Support Agile, DevSecOps, and traditional project management processes as applicable.
  • Ensure project activities align with Sponsor cybersecurity, accreditation, configuration management, and governance requirements.
  • Translate technical concepts into concise business and operational impacts for leadership and mission stakeholders.


Required Skills

  • Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • 4-8 years of experience supporting IT, cyber, software development, systems engineering, or network-focused programs.
  • Demonstrated experience managing technical projects from requirements definition through implementation and sustainment.
  • Experience developing project schedules, managing deliverables, tracking risks, and coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Strong requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience supporting enterprise IT systems, applications, infrastructure, networks, or cybersecurity programs.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Experience creating executive briefings and presenting to senior leadership.


Desired Skills

  • PMP certification.
  • Agile, Scrum Master, SAFe, or related project management certification.
  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community or DoD customers.
  • Familiarity with Sponsor cyber operations, enterprise IT environments, or mission systems.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, SharePoint, or similar collaboration and project management tools.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering, software development lifecycle (SDLC), DevSecOps, cloud technologies, or cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Experience supporting requirements management, change management, and configuration management processes.
