The successful candidate will drive large-scale technology projects through all phases of theSystems Development Lifecycle, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical delivery. The salary range reflected above is the normal hiring range for 2026. The full salary range, including longevity pay, is as follows:
IT Project and Business Analyst: $32.32 - $45.97 per hour.
IT Project and Business Analyst Senior: $37.40 - $53.43 per hour.

Distinguishing Features of Work IT Project & Business AnalystAn employee in this class is responsible for gathering requirements and engaging internal development staff and vendors in the design of small to moderate scale hardware/software systems and integrations. Duties include working within scope and operations requirements; developing functional design specifications; planning and deploying new and existing systems; advising and training staff. The work is performed under the direction of assigned supervisory staff.
IT Project & Business Analyst SeniorAn employee in this class is responsible for serving as an enterprise architect, gathering requirements, and engaging internal development staff and vendors in the design of complex hardware/software systems and integrations spanning multiple departments. Duties include defining the scope, business and operational requirements; developing functional design specifications; planning and deploying new and existing systems; coordinating and training staff. The work is performed under the direction of assigned supervisory staff.

Selection Process MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - IT Project and Business Analyst (Pass/Fail):- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, management information systems, information technology, or a closely related field AND two (2) years full-time paid verifiable business analysis or project management experience; OR graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's degree in business administration, computer science, management information systems, information technology, or a closely related field AND four (4) years full-time paid verifiable business analysis or project management experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by the Human Resources Director.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - IT Project and Business Analyst Senior (Pass/Fail):- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, management information systems, information technology, or a closely related field and six (6) years full-time paid verifiable business analysis or project management experience; OR graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's degree in business administration, computer science, management information systems, information technology, or a closely related field AND eight (8) years full-time paid verifiable business analysis or project management experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by the Human Resources Director.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
Note: At the discretion of the hiring authority, the successful candidate may be considered for appointment at the IT Project and Business Analyst or IT Project and Business Analyst Senior level, contingent on minimum qualifications and department need. This would be determined at the time a job offer is extended.
