The Gig:

We are on the hunt for a super talented Product Owner to join the IT team. If you are the one, you will be the owner of our Digital Product Roadmap, executing and prioritizing our business vision and in so, enabling the epic sailor experience we are committed to delivering.

You will spend most of your time gathering high level requirements from senior business stakeholders, analyzing and detailing product features; as well as partnering with Product Owners, Release Train Engineers, and Solution Architects to manage the delivery of this experience. The Product Manager is also responsible for building and maintaining the Feature Backlog and Product Roadmap, prioritizing business needs and providing direction to the project teams to align priorities across applications which will optimize processes and ensure our experience delivers our promise while meeting our company's goal of achieving and "Epic Sea Change".

This gig is based at VVHQ - our swanky Virgin Voyages Head Office in Plantation, FL where we follow a hybrid work environment. We can't wait to 'sea' you in person during our Collaboration Days, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, while you enjoy Mondays and Fridays' as remote days.

What You'll Be Up To:
  • 3+ years of experience developing product roadmaps and managing product development
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent analytical skills. Functional business analysis background is plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable liaising with senior stakeholders and influential business partners
  • Comfortable negotiating and influencing product prioritization aligning to organization goals and strategy
  • Independently motivated with a "team player" mentality
  • Manage a portfolio of IT products and associated applications with a high degree of complexity
  • Owner of features, acceptance criteria, and, the implementation priorities for the different products in the solution.
  • Hold workshops and detailing sessions for the different features in the program.
  • Serve as a liaison between the business stakeholders vision and the different project teams in charge of executing the details of the solution
  • Develop, maintain, and manage product roadmap, focusing acutely on solution design, feature prioritization, cross project milestones and quality delivery
  • Deliver product enhancements by facilitating efforts across global business segments and global delivery team
  • Drives integrated global teams to deliver product features and technology solutions in support of key internal initiatives by working closely with stakeholders, product owners, architects and external partners
  • Works within and across different Line of Business to prioritize, plan, and execute the implementation schedule for product features
  • Identifies, communicates and monitors product prioritization as well as critical cross-project milestones
  • Manage product deliverables, scope & expectations and communicates feature development progress with product owners, business analysts, scrum masters, program managers, business sponsors, upper management, and executives
  • Strong experience presenting to executive sponsors and demonstrated communication skills; both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff, all levels of management
  • Experience influencing and gaining buy-in from executive sponsors, team members, stakeholders and peers
  • Experience performing vendor analysis including but not limited to RFI, RFP, RFQ and contract negotiations.
  • Interfaces closely with all functional & business areas/groups affected by the program, including senior and/or executive management
  • Identifies and proposes opportunities to adopt innovative processes and technologies
  • May perform hands on business analysis activities such as requirement documentation, product planning and execution, testing, training which might result in addressing delivery impediments or solution issues
  • Develop and track to detailed product roadmaps, understanding schedules, team capacity and velocity, cost estimates. Participate in risk and issue mitigation plans. Able to extrapolate to the solution level
  • Make product decisions and recommendations to senior leadership about feature implementation and prioritization with input from others as needed
  • Prepare and delivers product report outs to executive audience as needed
  • Establish Product management practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization all under the umbrella of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)


Superpowers Required:
  • BA/BS degree or higher. MS degree is a plus. Knowledge and experience in the technology field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical product ownership, IT product management, or digital platform delivery
  • Experience managing products under a Scaled A gile Framework (SAFe) is a must
  • Certification as a agile product owner (Certified SCRUM Product Owner - CSPO) or product manager SAFe® 4.6 Product Owner / Product Manager - POPM is preferred
  • Experience with a variety of IT products, including business facing and backend applications for a variety of functional areas (e.g. Sales, Operations, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Legal, Revenue Management, Human Resources amongst others)
  • Proficiency in change management methodologies, best practices, tools and techniques applied in internal initiatives
  • Strong analytical and cross- functional collaboration skills
  • Excellent experience in SDLC Methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, SAFe
  • Experience with PM and Collaboration tools; SmartSheets and JIRA/Confluence
  • Detail-oriented, multi-tasking, self-directed, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 10 - 25 % depending on location
