Full Job Description
Description

We're looking for a Product Manager to lead our product portfolio and manage the team of business analysts who support it.

You'll work closely with frontline employees, customers, business leaders, analysts, and software engineers to identify opportunities, solve complex operational challenges, and deliver software that creates measurable business value.

This position is ideal for a seasoned product leader who thrives in complex environments, enjoys getting close to users and business processes, and is excited to leverage AI as a practical tool for improving both products and team performance.

As Product Manager, you will own the full product lifecycle-from discovery and definition through delivery and measurement. You'll lead product direction, maintain portfolio priorities, partner closely with engineering teams, and ensure the products we build solve meaningful business problems. You'll also directly manage a team of business analysts - setting expectations, coaching performance, and elevating product management practices.

Key Responsibilities
Product Discovery & Definition
  • Develop a deep understanding of Martin Bros.' business processes, operations, and customer needs.
  • Conduct user interviews, workshops, ride-alongs, and job shadowing with customers and frontline employees.
  • Observe workflows firsthand to uncover root causes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate business needs into detailed product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
  • Build and maintain product roadmaps aligned with business priorities and customer outcomes.
Product Delivery
  • Partner closely with software development teams throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Refine requirements, answer implementation questions, review completed work, and validate deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary product owner within an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, customer impact, technical considerations, and operational risk.
  • Drive alignment among stakeholders and facilitate informed trade-off decisions.
Product Measurement & Performance
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for products and initiatives.
  • Ensure appropriate product instrumentation and measurement capabilities are included during development.
  • Evaluate outcomes using data and user feedback.
  • Adjust priorities and strategies based on evidence and measurable results.
Team Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of business analysts.
  • Establish clear expectations and accountability for performance and delivery.
  • Recruit and hire top talent while maintaining a high standard for excellence.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
AI & Product Innovation
  • Leverage modern AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, and product development practices.
  • Identify opportunities to embed AI capabilities into products where they create meaningful business value.
  • Promote responsible and practical AI adoption across the team and product portfolio.
  • Champion experimentation, learning, and innovation while maintaining a focus on measurable outcomes.
