The expected hiring range for this position is:

$79,300.00-$104,400.00.

The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such the scope and responsibilities of the position, qualifications of the selected candidate, business considerations, internal equity, and external market pay for comparable jobs.

About the Role:
Fermilab27s Finance & Procurement Division seeks an Information Technology Process Analyst II. The IT Process Analyst under general direction supports the Budget and Financial Managers across the full lifecycle of the Laboratory27s financial planning and reporting systems, with primary focus on the Oracle Planning and Budget Cloud Service (PBCS) and its integration with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) financial modules. This individual supports recurring budgeting, forecasting, project accounting, and resource management cycles; administers and enhances BPS and Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI) dashboards and ad hoc subject areas; and provides cross-trained backup coverage for critical financial systems processes to ensure continuity of operations. The Analyst will also help with data stewardship for Finance to ensure that Finance data and metadata follow governance standards.

What your day-to-day as an Information Technology Process Analyst II at Fermilab will look like:

  • Analyze and evaluate business requirements and, with minimal oversight, develop or improve upon specific existing IT processes to meet these requirements. Document business rationale and alternatives considered.
  • Plan, coordinate, and may lead projects. Review and prioritize customer demands, and then communicate and coordinate approved priorities to customers and appropriate service providers.
  • Execute existing business processes and process flows and identifies needed changes.
  • Propose and design solutions to address short-term and long-term business needs.
  • Coordinate and assist in testing system changes and process improvements.
  • Ensure appropriate level of communication about IT service or process changes. May provide consultation about or deliver necessary trainings.
  • Prepare operational and user documentation for systems implementations.
  • Prepare and transmits routine or time-sensitive data as directed by supervisor.
  • Keep abreast of current business practices, emerging industry trends, and related technology.

Essential Attributes for Success:

  • High school diploma with 3+ years of experience in one or more functional areas to address business needs.
  • Bachelor27s degree in a field related to the functional area being assisted with 1+ years of experience preferred.

Applicable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Ability to plan, schedule and direct skilled labor in the performance of project work. Proficiency in at least one Service Management suite.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as ability to work with professional engineers, architects, etc.
