The IT Portfolio Analyst plays a key role in enabling Crescent's technology strategy by providing portfolio-level visibility, financial discipline, and decision support across IT initiatives. This role partners closely with IT leaders, business stakeholders, Finance & Accounting to ensure technology investments are aligned with corporate priorities, delivered efficiently, and managed with transparency.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working at the intersection of technology, finance, and business strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and analyze the IT project and application portfolio, ensuring alignment with Crescent's strategic objectives and business priorities
- Track and report on IT spend, forecasts, budgets, and variances in partnership with Finance
- Develop and maintain portfolio dashboards, KPIs, and executive-level reporting to support informed decision-making
- Support intake, prioritization, and governance processes for IT initiatives, including business case analysis and benefits tracking
- Monitor project and portfolio health, identifying risks, dependencies, and opportunities for optimization
- Assist with resource planning and capacity analysis across IT teams
- Ensure portfolio data integrity across systems and reporting tools
- Support continuous improvement of portfolio management processes, tools, and standards
Qualifications & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Finance, Business, Engineering, or commensurate experience
- 3+ years of experience in IT portfolio management, PMO, financial analysis, or a related analytical role
- Strong understanding of project and portfolio management concepts
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Proficiency with portfolio management tools, spreadsheets, and data visualization/reporting platforms such as Excel and PowerBI
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in energy, upstream oil & gas, or capital-intensive industries
- Familiarity with Agile and/or hybrid delivery environments
- Experience supporting executive or senior leadership reporting
