Full Job Description
The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and use of technology throughout the company, working closely with a team to assess and address user and company needs. Areas of responsibility include the full range of information systems and telecommunications activities, including determining user requirements, recommending practical solutions, and wide efforts to improve the effective use of technology.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the deployment, support, maintenance of all IT systems, servers, security solutions, network hardware equipment, PCs, operating systems, telephones and software applications
  • Provide expertise and support during systems upgrades, installations, conversions and file maintenance
  • Manage IT staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
  • Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented as required
  • Completes projects by coordinating resources and executing the Project Plans within budget
  • Responsible for creating and administering disaster plans that will keep the company functional in the event of a crisis
  • Determine the rationale and methods for upgrading company network software programs each time an update is released
  • Ensure the creation and maintenance of all written documentation, including system and user manuals, license agreements, and documentation of modifications and upgrades
  • Oversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services
  • Keep current with the latest technologies and determine what new technology solutions and implementations will meet business and system requirements
  • Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action
  • Support, manage and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision
  • Manage telecommunications infrastructure and development plans, projects, policies and procedures
  • Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and service agreements
  • Support Business mission and follow all standards, policies, procedures, and confidentiality guidelines
  • Plans and implements additions, deletions and major modifications to the supporting infrastructure company-wide in coordination with leadership
  • Follows quality management system requirements for relevant activities.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.


Requirements:
  • 15+ years of technology support, maintenance and management in IT
  • Experience in Manufacturing Industry preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/equivalent
  • Certifications in network, technology components, project management
  • Extensive hands-on networking and troubleshooting experience
  • Previous experience with SAP Projects highly desirable
  • Strong problem solving and communications skills required
  • Strong knowledge of security principles, certification requirements and processes preferred
  • Strong hands-on abilities in Infrastructure technology components preferred


Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in both office and manufacturing environments, including regular time on the production floor.
  • May be exposed to noise, heat, moving equipment, machinery, chemicals, and other conditions typical of a continuous manufacturing operation.
  • Must follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment while in designated areas.
  • Must complete all required safety training, including site-specific, job-specific, equipment-related, and refresher training, and apply safe work practices when working on or around plant equipment.
  • May require standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, reaching, and accessing equipment areas to troubleshoot or observe operating conditions.
  • Must be able to support urgent equipment issues, projects, shutdowns, or commissioning activities outside of normal business hours as needed in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
