Job Summary

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and improving SHINHAN BANK New York Branch's overall IT infrastructure and banking system operations. This role ensures stable system performance, timely issue resolution, and high quality technical support for all branch users. The IT Manager will manage IT assets, administer core systems, support daily operations, and coordinate with Head Office and external vendors as needed.
Job Description
  • Network Administration
  • -Maintain and operate branch network services, including DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, WAN, and related
  • components.
  • -Monitor network performance and coordinate with service providers to resolve connectivity issues.
  • -Ensure secure and compliant network configurations aligned with internal and regulatory
  • requirements.
  • Banking Systems & Compliance Support
  • -Work closely with Head Office IT teams to align system standards, policies, and security requirements.
  • -Support IT-related components of regulatory compliance (NYSDFS, cybersecurity, audit requests).
  • -Maintain documentation for system configurations, incident logs, and operational procedures.
  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
  • -Provide Tier 1/2 technical assistance and end-user support for hardware, software, and peripheral
  • devices (PCs, Laptops, Printers, Mobile devices, etc.).
  • -Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software incidents in a timely manner.
  • -Install, configure, and update hardware, software, and security patches across user workstations and
  • servers
Qualifications
  • -Education & Experience:
  • - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent
  • practical experience).
  • - 3?5 years of general IT administration, system support, or infrastructure management experience.
  • Technical Competencies:
  • - Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Desktop OS management.
  • - Practical experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V).
  • - Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Routing/Switching, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-
  • Fi).
  • - Hands-on experience troubleshooting desktop hardware, peripherals, and enterprise software.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • - Experience or background in banking systems, financial operations, or accounting systems is a strong
  • plus.
  • - Relevant IT industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+/Security+, MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, or
  • VMware VCP) are preferred.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English is required.
  • Fluency/Bilingual capability in Korean is strongly preferred to communicate effectively with
  • Head Office and internal teams.
