Full Job Description
Position Summary:

ACU has an exciting opportunity for an IT Manager to join our IT Department in Ashland, KY. This position will assist the Credit Union by supporting, troubleshooting, operating, maintaining, and optimizing its data systems and network while delivering on the IT Department's goal of providing technical solutions to business problems. The position will also assist in delivering a world-class banking experience to members both inside and outside the branch. The position requires technical aptitude, communication skills (written, personal, and presentation) along with attention to detail and candidates should exhibit the below skills, traits, and/or qualifications.

Job Responsibilities:

Deliver service in alignment with ACU's Service Standards, Policies and Procedures.

Participates as a working member of the IT Operations team, providing direct technical support to both internal staff and credit union members.

Manages service desk, change management, and incident tickets to ensure they are completed in accordance with department guidelines and meet organizational support standards.

Oversees and performs maintenance, administration, and support of IT Operations systems, including core data processing system, CU network, servers, PCs, laptops, backups, and other technical systems.

Manages IT equipment inventory life cycle from procurement through disposition, ensuring adequate supplies are on hand to maintain continuous operations and that inventory management systems are up to date.

Assist in maintenance and administration of the CU network, servers, PC equipment, data processing system, backups, and other technical systems.

Handle scheduling of IT operations staff to ensure that daily, monthly, and annual processing tasks are properly documented and completed with minimal errors.

Develop and conduct regular training to build and increase overall knowledge and capability of direct reports and other CU staff when appropriate.

Assists the IT department in the ongoing implementation, maintenance, and performance of fraud detection and prevention systems as well as security best practices.

Stays aware of current technology and information security trends to maintain knowledge and awareness of new and emerging vulnerabilities and security issues in need of department attention.

Works with management and other department leaders and stakeholders to document and implement new technology-based systems.

Designs and implements technical solutions to a variety of business needs.

Oversees and participates in the implementation of automation processes and integrations between internal and external technology systems.

Use, analyze, and manage business intelligence systems to connect credit union team members with impactful reports and information from CU data systems.

Manage IT Operations direct reports, establishing goals, objectives, and development plans for each employee.

Other duties as requested by the President, EVP, or CTO.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or related field. (Master's preferred)

Required Skills & Abilities:

Ability to evaluate and understand member and business needs

Thorough knowledge of computer operations, network, database, and information security concepts

Expertise across a variety of systems currently in use by the ACU Information Technology department

Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complicated technical problems and see them through to a satisfactory resolution

Knowledge of banking and financial principles

Willingness to travel on occasion, including both single and multi-day outings

Technical writing skills for authoring procedures or technical documents and manuals

Ability to work Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm EST with willingness to work odd or irregular hours on occasion, both planned and unplanned, to perform maintenance or implement processes off of peak hours, respond to incidents, or investigate or resolve unplanned system or service outages
