Job DescriptionAbout The Position: Serve as the first level manager of professional technology positions in Network & Telecommunications Services (NTSD)/Network Services/Enterprise Network section. Position to oversee Enterprise Network Services support team, responsible for the design, deployment and support of Wide Area Network (WAN) and Security services throughout SOM sites. Provide Tier 2/3 functionality for all WAN connectivity & security service operations and deployment throughout all SOM zones. Responsibilities include ensuring timely delivery of WAN, security and Virtual Private Network (VPN) catalog services, managing team resources, managing the change control process as it applies to WAN, security and VPN, coordination with other DTMB partner for service delivery, procurement and inventory control of Enterprise Network Services and management of new equipment provisioning.
Position Location/Remote Office: The office location is Lansing, MI. The State of Michigan is not able to offer employment to out of-state applicants that do not plan to relocate to Michigan. The Department of Technology Management and Budget currently offers a hybrid work option which requires two days working on-site at the official work location in Michigan and three days of remote work per week.

SIGNING BONUS: This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $3,500. Up to $1,750 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to current state employees.
