Position Summary

The IT Federal Sales Director is responsible for driving federal sales strategy, business development, and overall growth in the federal market for GST. This leader will oversee the performance of the federal sales team, develop new business opportunities, and cultivate strong relationships within the federal sector. The ideal candidate has extensive federal industry experience, a proven track record of building and leading successful business units, and the ability to operate independently in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive federal sales strategy to achieve revenue and margin goals.
  • Identify, pursue, and close opportunities within targeted federal accounts.
  • Create and manage a territory sales plan, including prospecting and pipeline development.
  • Oversee dealer, distributor, and OEM relationships, ensuring strong multi-tier engagement within each organization.
  • Take ownership of customer issues to ensure timely and definitive resolution.
  • Identify opportunities to expand offerings through additional resources, vendor solutions, and technical services.
  • Prepare and deliver sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and quarterly business review reports to management.
