Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented IT Engineering Systems Support Specialist to join our team! In this role, you will support Parsons' enterprise-wide engineering systems by designing, packaging, deploying, and supporting Windows-based engineering applications used by thousands of engineers across a global environment.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Designing, packaging, and deploying Windows-based engineering and design applications using Cloudpaging and an enterprise deployment platform.
  • Supporting all aspects of delivery, administration, customization, and maintenance of engineering and design applications and related services.
  • Administering and maintaining core systems that support engineering applications, including licensing management, collaboration systems, and other enterprise engineering systems (ES) delivery platforms.
  • Troubleshooting complex application and deployment issues (installation, packaging conflicts, compatibility, performance) and driving them to resolution.
  • Automating common tasks and workflows using PowerShell or other scripting languages to improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Collaborating with clients, business partners, and ES/IT team members to identify and resolve issues related to specific engineering applications and complex ES systems.
  • Supporting complex technical workflows and requirements for engineering applications to meet project delivery needs.
  • Providing technical assistance and escalation support to ES Support and IT staff members, including documenting standards, procedures, and known issues.


What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related technical discipline, with experience in both engineering and IT.
  • 6+ years of progressive experience designing, packaging, and deploying software packages to Windows operating systems in a mid- to large-scale environment.
  • Experience administering and supporting application infrastructure (e.g., licensing servers, application delivery platforms, or related IT systems).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and maintain a strong attention to detail.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • Experience with application virtualization technologies like Cloudpaging, Microsoft App-V, or VMware ThinApp
  • Strong understanding of PowerShell or other scripting languages
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
  • Familiarity with MongoDB, SQL Server, or other database systems
  • Exposure to or general knowledge of engineering and design applications such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, ProjectWise, ArcGIS, or similar CAD/BIM/GIS or engineering tools

Salary Range: $88,400.00 - $154,700.00
