Full Job Description
Responsibilities

This position requires 5 days a week onsite in Richland, WA.

Your key responsibilities and accountabilities would include:
  • Applies engineering and technical principles to the design and development of computer networks, cyber security infrastructure, telecommunications, information technology systems and tools, and database systems.
  • Analyzes, installs, integrates, modifies, and supports all associated systems, networks, software, and databases.
  • Plans and conducts projects after analysis of functional and operational requirements.
  • May consult with and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Working in an operational/production environment; knowledge of monitoring, management, and capacity planning.
  • Possess good communication skills; coordinating project expectations between the various project stakeholders (PMs, analysts, developers, and other outside interests).
  • Ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them effectively in an evolving environment.
  • Diagnosing and resolving problems in response to customer-reported incidents.
  • Developing and managing customer service performance requirements.
  • Able to work with minimal direct oversight; Define and lead project work at a small task/project level, reporting results on time and on budget.
  • Building reputation through application of Lab principles and theories and developing technical approaches to solve challenges.
  • Established system administrator with an eye towards innovative systems engineering.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS/BA or higher

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge/experience working as an administrator on Microsoft Windows Servers 2019/2022/2025
  • Knowledge/experience with Microsoft Windows 11 Workstation administration
  • Knowledge/experience with Active Directory (User accounts, Computer accounts, Groups, Organizational Units, Group Policy, Schema, etc.)
  • Knowledge/experience working with Nutanix AHV
  • Knowledge/experience working with SharePoint, Jira, and/or Confluence
  • Familiar with configuration baselines (DISA STIGs)
  • Knowledge or experience with WAN and LAN connectivity (routers and switches)
  • Knowledge or experience with Microsoft Visio and/or Draw.io for network diagram documentation
  • Knowledge or experience with Cisco ISE for authentication and authorization
  • Active Federal DOE Clearance and ability to maintain such clearance
