Full Job Description
IT Director

Job Responsibilities:
  • Own and maintain written IT and security policies, including acceptable use, access management, incident response, and data protection
  • Establish and enforce an AI usage policy, including approved tools and guardrails to prevent data leakage
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure proper access provisioning and clean terminations
  • Proactively identify and mitigate security risks across systems, users, and vendors
  • Manage and optimize the Managed Service Provider (MSP) relationship, ensuring service quality, accountability, and value - not just ticket closure
  • Oversee network management and configuration, ensuring performance, connectivity, and redundancy
  • Manage API integrations supporting Broadway systems and workflows
  • Oversee VOIP architecture and telecommunications infrastructure
  • Lead stalled or complex infrastructure projects (e.g., switches, servers, networking upgrades) through completion
  • Develop and maintain documentation including network diagrams, asset inventories, and operational runbooks
  • Implement and manage mobile device management (MDM) for field and mobile employees
  • Own asset tracking, lifecycle planning, and hardware refresh schedules
  • Develop and maintain a documented business continuity and disaster recovery plan
  • Create and execute a forward-looking technology roadmap aligned with business growth (2-3 year horizon)
  • Identify and implement AI-driven opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and operational effectiveness
  • Partner closely with internal teams to identify technology and software efficiencies across platforms
  • Own the IT budget, including forecasting, hardware refresh planning, and cost optimization
  • Lead vendor, licensing, and contract management (software, telecom, MSPs, and technology partners)
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on technology risks, investments, and opportunities
  • Partner with internal IT leadership (player/coach structure) to ensure help desk execution and project support
  • Plan for future IT staffing needs as user count and ticket volume grow
  • Be a strategic partner to senior leadership, using data and automation to drive revenue growth, margin expansion, and operational leverage.
  • Develop and implement customer-facing technology that supports sales, improves conversion, and increases customer retention

Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field
  • 5+ years of operational experience in IT client/end-user support and in IT Infrastructure
  • 3+ years management experience (preferred)
  • Proven experience writing and implementing security and IT policies
  • Direct experience responding to customer security questionnaires
  • Experience managing and holding an MSP or outsourced IT provider accountable
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering infrastructure projects on time and within budget
  • Experience in organizations with approximately 150-500 employees
  • Ability to remain strategic and avoid being pulled into daily ticket work
  • Strong understanding of AI risks and practical business applications
  • Experience with network management, API integrations, and VOIP systems
  • Experience delivering revenue-impacting digital initiatives (e.g., customer portals, ecommerce, data products, or self-service tools).
  • Experience implementing and maintaining SOC compliance initiatives (e.g., SOC 2), including coordination with auditors and internal stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to design technology solutions that drive revenue growth and customer retention.
  • Experience defining and tracking business KPIs for technology initiatives (e.g., conversion, retention, margin, cost per ticket, automation rate).
  • Strong financial acumen, including building business cases and ROI analyses for technology investments.
