IT Business Partner, eMobility Operations

Location: Knightdale / Raleigh, NC - Hybrid (up to 3 days a week)
Additional Support Location: Atlanta, GA

Siemens eMobility / Heliox, A Siemens Business, is seeking an IT Business Partner, eMobility Operations to support our Knightdale / Raleigh, NC facility and Atlanta office. This role combines business-facing IT partnership with hands-on onsite IT/OT operations support for a growing eMobility business.

This position will serve as the primary IT partner for local eMobility leadership while supporting network infrastructure, production hardware, shop-floor technology, endpoint services, cybersecurity coordination, and business continuity. The role will work closely with Siemens eMobility / Heliox business stakeholders, the global eMobility IT organization, US Smart Infrastructure IT, Siemens IT providers, vendors, and managed service partners.

  • Serving as the primary IT point of contact for Siemens eMobility / Heliox leadership at the Knightdale facility and Atlanta headquarters.
  • Partnering with business leaders to understand priorities, manage IT demand, and align local needs with Siemens IT standards.
  • Developing short-, mid-, and long-term IT roadmaps for site growth, production readiness, digitalization, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business continuity.
  • Supporting IT budget planning, forecasting, cost transparency, service consumption tracking, and cost optimization.
  • Managing IT projects and demands from intake through execution, including scoping, requirements, prioritization, provider coordination, and status communication.
  • Translating technical topics into clear business language for operational and leadership stakeholders.
  • Coordinating with global eMobility IT, US Smart Infrastructure IT, cybersecurity, infrastructure, workplace services, application teams, vendors, and MSPs.
  • Providing onsite IT/OT support for office, engineering, warehouse, production, test, service, and shop-floor environments.
  • Supporting network infrastructure across Knightdale and Atlanta, including connectivity, switching, routing, wireless, VPN, firewalls, and escalation to network providers.
  • Supporting production hardware and shop-floor devices, including industrial PCs, manufacturing workstations, scanners, label printers, shared workstations, displays, and other operations-critical endpoints.
  • Supporting local infrastructure such as file shares, servers, application dependencies, hybrid cloud components, and site-specific systems as needed.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation for assets, infrastructure, support processes, escalation paths, and site operating procedures.
  • Supporting cybersecurity, vulnerability remediation, access governance, patch compliance, audit readiness, and incident escalation.
  • Participating in planned maintenance, incident response, and occasional non-standard-hours support when business needs require.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT business partnering, IT operations, infrastructure support, IT/OT support, manufacturing IT, or a similar role.
  • Experience supporting onsite IT operations in a manufacturing, industrial, engineering, logistics, energy, infrastructure, or technology environment.
  • Experience managing IT demand, projects, budgets, vendors, service providers, and multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting production or operations-critical hardware, endpoints, or shop-floor technology.
  • Ability to work onsite in Knightdale / Raleigh, NC and support the Atlanta office as required.
  • Proficient in English both written and verbal
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in IT business partnering, infrastructure operations, manufacturing IT, or IT/OT support.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial automation, electrification, eMobility, EV charging, or energy infrastructure.
  • Experience working with global IT organizations and aligning regional needs with global standards.
  • Experience with SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, and MES
  • Experience with demand management, service management, project management, or Agile delivery practices.
  • Working knowledge of network fundamentals and cybersecurity
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work with business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and shop-floor users.
  • Experience supporting industrial PCs, production networks, test systems, or manufacturing execution environments.
  • Strong vendor management, cost management, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills.

The pay range for this position is $102,459 - $175,644 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
