Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Business Lead Analyst to drive delivery and technology enablement across the Authorization & Fraud domain supporting the U.S. Consumer Credit Cards business.

This role is critical to the successful delivery of a growing and increasingly complex Book of Work, ensuring the technical capacity needed to meet accelerated business commitments while enabling future strategic priorities. The successful candidate will serve as a key partner between business and technology organizations, leveraging deep expertise in application development, systems analysis, and business analysis to translate business needs into scalable, efficient, and high-quality technology solutions.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical acumen with exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. This individual will lead requirements gathering, solution design, systems analysis, and delivery activities across a diverse portfolio of initiatives, helping drive execution excellence from concept through implementation.

The IT Business Lead Analyst is a senior-level position responsible for driving the analysis, design, enhancement, and implementation of application systems in partnership with Technology and Business teams. The overall objective of this role is to lead application systems analysis activities, influence technical solutions, and ensure successful delivery of strategic business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, developers, and technology leadership to align business objectives with technology solutions.
  • Lead the elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation of complex business, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Identify and drive system enhancements that support new products, regulatory requirements, process improvements, and strategic business initiatives.
  • Analyze complex business processes, system workflows, data flows, and integration requirements to develop scalable and sustainable solutions.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business and technology teams, ensuring requirements are accurately translated into technical designs and implementation plans.
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in application development, systems analysis, and solution design while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
  • Apply knowledge of application architecture, infrastructure, development methodologies, and business processes to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Contribute to and promote standards for development, testing, implementation, and production support processes.
  • Lead and support application systems analysis efforts across cross-functional technology teams and multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Resolve complex, high-impact issues through detailed analysis, sound judgment, and innovative problem-solving.
  • Manage project priorities, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder expectations to support successful execution and delivery.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor, providing guidance and mentorship to analysts, developers, and project teams.
  • Assess and proactively manage technology, operational, and business risks associated with project delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable policies, standards, regulatory requirements, and control frameworks.
  • Demonstrate sound decision-making, transparency, and accountability while effectively escalating and managing risks, issues, and dependencies.

Qualifications
  • 6-10 years of experience in application development, systems analysis, technical business analysis, or related technology disciplines.
  • Strong application development and engineering background with the ability to understand, evaluate, and influence technical architectures and solution designs.
  • Proven experience gathering, documenting, and managing complex business, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Extensive experience analyzing systems, business processes, data models, workflows, and integrations.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and deliver complex technology initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one or more areas of application development, systems analysis, or technology solution delivery.
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and modern technology delivery practices.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt quickly to changing business needs and strategic objectives.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, facilitation, and project coordination skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience within financial services, credit card, acquisitions, risk, or customer lifecycle management domains is preferred.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
