Job Title : Business Analyst / ScrumMaster - Campaign Finance Projects

Overview / Summary

The Business Analyst is responsible for gathering and documenting clear, unambiguous, and testable business requirements and understanding business needs and system functionality to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, project team members, and the user community.

The Business Analyst will also serve as the ScrumMaster on campaign finance-related projects, with heavy usage of Monday.com and/or JIRA. The role coordinates with the PMO Project Manager on artifacts and documentation.

This position requires on-site/in-person work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with no exceptions.

The ideal candidate will have a mentor/teaching-oriented background and help support the long-term success of the business area, strengthen an Agile mindset with the vendor, and support the transition from project mode to maintenance mode.

Key Responsibilities
  • Document clear, unambiguous, and testable business requirements in accordance with standard templates.
  • Create test plans with the business and ensure repeatable processes are established beyond the lifecycle of the current project.
  • Document repeatable technical steps and processes for the business area to support maintenance planning.
  • Facilitate requirements-gathering meetings with project team members and stakeholders to identify impacted business processes and document project business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain the project backlog during Agile projects and work with the Product Owner to establish priorities throughout the project.
  • Understand project scope and actively monitor the requirements process to maintain alignment with project objectives.
  • Understand high-level information governance objectives and ensure appropriate stakeholder inclusion and awareness regarding data requirements.
  • Support appropriate resolution of critical IT issues related to the Business Analyst role.
  • Understand project-specific benefits and the impact of changes to project scope or business requirements.
  • Ensure BA-owned SEM deliverables are completed, reviewed, and approved in alignment with area processes.
  • Work directly with project teams and vendor partners, including UI/UX, solution architects, database administrators, developers, QA testers, and others, to ensure understanding of requirements, functionality, size, and scalability of the IT solution.
  • Examine existing and future-state business processes, data, and systems with project teams and stakeholders to support business requirements gathering.

Required Qualifications
  • 5 years of Business Analyst experience.
  • 5 years of Quality Assurance knowledge.
  • 5 years of Agile tool knowledge, including creating epics, features, and user stories and moving cards through the project lifecycle.
  • 5 years of understanding BA, QA, and DEV roles and responsibilities.
  • 5 years of experience with as-is/to-be processes and content creation.
  • 3 years of experience creating product roadmaps.
  • 3 years of familiarity with Project Management Methodologies/Agile.
  • 3 years of proficiency with BA tools such as Figma and Visio.
  • Experience with Monday.com and/or JIRA, with heavy usage in the ScrumMaster role.
  • Ability to work on-site/in person on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with no exceptions.
