As a senior individual contributor, the ISO Recruitment Director brings deep payments industry knowledge, a strong network, and the ability to independently develop and convert complex channel opportunities. The role works closely with Partner Success, Strategic Account Management, Marketing, and other internal teams to position Priority effectively in the market and build productive, long-term channel partnerships that contribute to sustainable revenue growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategies to identify and recruit new ISOs, agents, and other high-value sales channels aligned with Priority's growth objectives.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective partners through industry relationships, networking, referrals, outbound prospecting, events, and other targeted business development activities.
  • Lead the partner recruitment process from initial engagement through evaluation, commercial discussions, contract negotiation, and execution.
  • Evaluate prospective partners based on strategic fit, growth potential, economics, capabilities, and alignment with Priority's business and risk requirements.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop competitive partner propositions, pricing structures, and solutions that support successful recruitment and long-term channel economics.
  • Guide newly recruited partners through onboarding and activation, ensuring a coordinated transition into Priority's processes, platforms, products, and support model.
  • Develop trusted relationships with prospective and newly recruited partners, serving as a credible advisor and representative of Priority within the payments industry.
  • Maintain visibility into recruitment pipeline, partner activity, expected production, and key opportunities using established CRM and reporting processes.

What Success Looks Like:
  • Consistent achievement of ISO and channel recruitment goals and associated revenue expectations; 5 new ISO's per month and 100 MID's per year.
  • A strong, predictable pipeline of qualified prospective partners.
  • Recruitment of productive partners with meaningful long-term growth potential.
  • Effective commercial negotiations that balance partner competitiveness with sustainable economics for Priority.
  • New partners move efficiently from signed agreement to activation and productive selling.
  • Priority develops a strong reputation in the marketplace as an attractive, differentiated partner for ISOs and agents.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Significant experience in payments, merchant acquiring, fintech, or a closely related industry, with strong knowledge of the ISO and agent distribution model.
  • Demonstrated success recruiting, developing, or managing ISO, agent, or other third-party sales channel relationships.
  • Established industry relationships and the ability to independently source and develop new partnership opportunities.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including experience evaluating partnership economics and negotiating complex agreements.
  • Executive-level relationship management, communication, and influence skills with the ability to build credibility quickly with business owners and senior decision-makers.
  • Strong business development discipline, including pipeline management, forecasting, prioritization, and follow-through.
  • Ability to operate independently in a highly visible, results-oriented role while collaborating effectively across Sales, Marketing, Product, Risk, Operations, and Partner Success.
  • Ability to travel as needed to develop partner relationships, attend industry events, and represent Priority in the marketplace.
