Job Description

Reporting to the Director, ISC Engineering - End-to-end (E2E) Project Delivery for the BU and indirect to the E2E Value Stream Leader (as appropriate), the ISC E2E Engineering Delivery Leader is accountable for working across all ISC Engineering functions to organize, lead and deliver E2E project(s) for industrialization of new product introductions (NPIs), large capital investment projects and/or significant modernization projects spanning concept through full manufacturing validation and operational handoff.

For NPD Projects: Will serve as a core team member and will align with R&D, Business Units and Operations to support the translation of innovation into robust, compliant, and manufacturable solutions-on time, within budget, while meeting all quality and safety standards.

For Non-NPD Projects: Will serve as a core team leader for a cross-functional team to deliver end-to-end projects.

For all industrialization projects, the ISC E2E Project Delivery Leader will be the single point of contact and accountability for the BU.

Key Accountabilities

This position is accountable for working across all ISC Engineering functions to horizontally align appropriate levels of technical talent to projects while interfacing with Business Units and other functional leaders to ensure project delivery excellence.

End-to-End Project Execution
  • Provides E2E project execution spanning concept development, design transfer, equipment procurement, installation, qualification, and validation across the assigned manufacturing site(s).
  • Ensures project delivery that meets cost, schedule, scope, performance, quality, regulatory, and safety commitments.
  • Works within defined enterprise-standard governance frameworks, including Stage-gate process (IGRS, harmonized with GPDS), adapted to new technology
  • Working with the E2E VSL, serves as the project escalation point for the industrialization activities regarding complex technical, operational, or organizational challenges.


Leadership of Leaders & Organizational Capability
  • Indirectly leads a cross-functional ISC team of technical professionals responsible for process and equipment design and implementation, engaging Industrialization Services as needed to support projects.
  • Establishes clear project execution roadmaps and timelines, ensuring expectations for accountability and decision-making are assigned and carried out.
  • Fosters a culture of ownership, transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement throughout project execution.


Cross-Functional Integration
  • Serves as the integration point across engineering disciplines, including process, equipment, launch and engineering services.
  • Influences and aligns functional leaders to ensure right resources, skills, and capacity are deployed across the project(s).
  • Strengthens partnerships with plant leadership and operations teams to ensure readiness, manufacturability, and sustainability of new technologies.
  • Represents ISC Engineering project execution in project update forums.


Operational & Launch Readiness Excellence
  • Ensures manufacturing sites are fully prepared for new products and capital deployments, including:
    • Equipment and process readiness
    • Validation strategy and execution (IQ/OQ/PQ)
    • Documentation, training, and operational handoff
  • Works with process leaders to champion design for manufacturability, standardization, and scalability early in development to accelerate time-to-market and reduce lifecycle risk.
  • Ensures full compliance with regulatory, quality, safety, and environmental requirements across all programs.
  • Provides E2E leadership through vertical ramp-up and launch, ensuring all agreed-upon operational targets are met prior to plant handoff.


Business Performance, Metrics & Continuous Improvement
  • Reports on project-level KPIs, dashboards, and performance management systems for project execution excellence.
  • Leads and/or participates in continuous improvement initiatives (as needed) to:
    • Reduce execution risk
    • Improve speed, cost, and predictability
    • Strengthen cross-functional integration
  • Utilizes best-in-class project management, risk management, and communication practices
    • CAPEX/OPEX financial accountability
    • Project charter ownership
    • Formal change control management
    • Gate review readiness management
    • Post-launch lessons learned / post-mortem reviews
    • Stakeholder communication and engagement


Experience & Education

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline; advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering, program management, product development, or manufacturing operations within a large, matrixed organization.
  • Proven success leading large-scale NPI and/or large capital investment projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to indirectly lead a team of technical talent
  • Deep knowledge of product development, equipment design and validation, and manufacturing operations.
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence, negotiate, and drive alignment across all stakeholders


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in medical technology, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Program management and CI/problem-solving certifications (PMI, CSM, Lean, Six Sigma, etc).
