Qualifications

• Unencumbered LVN/LPN license in the state
• Knowledgeable in nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines relevant to long-term care
• Infection control experience (preferred)
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment (preferred)
• Familiarity with PointClickCare (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the facility's infection prevention and control program
• Conduct rounds on nursing units to assess practices and conditions
• Review and analyze environmental sanitation procedures and infectious disease lab reports
• Consult with the Director of Nursing to align on infection prevention strategies
• Prepare summaries of resident/staff infections and corrective actions taken
• Communicate precautionary measures to staff, residents, and family members
• Ensure adherence to proper hand-hygiene techniques
