Qualifications

• Unencumbered LVN/LPN license in the state
• Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures relevant to long-term care
• Familiarity with infection control protocols
• Understanding of relevant regulations and guidelines
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) is a plus
• Proficiency using PointClickCare is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the infection prevention and control program
• Ensure compliance with infection control policies within the facility
• Conduct rounds on nursing units to assess infection prevention practices
• Review environmental sanitation procedures and infectious disease reports
• Summarize infections and corrective actions for reporting purposes
• Educate staff, residents, and families on infection prevention measures
• Promote proper hand hygiene techniques among staff
