Full Job Description
Posting Description

INVESTOR, MIT Investment Management Company (MITIMCo) , will aid in managing over $25B for MIT's endowment, retirement plan, and other capital pools to deliver outstanding long term returns that advance MIT's research and education by sourcing and screening opportunities; writing memos; leading or co leading due diligence; assessing risk/reward; maintaining global manager relationships; partnering with Operations, Legal, and Data teams on terms, risk, and sizing; travel as needed to meet managers, attend annual general meetings, and evaluating execution firsthand. Global Investment Staff (GIS) invests primarily through partnerships with external managers across public and private markets-long equity, hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, real estate, and natural resources. With permanent capital and a long time horizon, GIS applies patient, analytical decision making, builds durable relationships, and pursues opportunities-including less proven strategies-where aligned ownership and rigorous underwriting create value. GIS operates a flat, generalist model: each team member contributes research, serves on the internal investment committee, and is empowered to lead from day one with mentorship and collaborative accountability.
