Full Job Description
The Investment department is currently looking for a Senior Investment Analyst. This role will be on the fixed-income team. A successful Senior Investment Analyst will have experience conducting research, executing trades, and monitoring a portfolio of securities in a sector or sectors within a fixed-income portfolio. Investment grade corporates will be the primary asset class the role focuses on, although exposure to ABS, CMBS, RMBS, and taxable and tax-exempt municipals would also be possible.
Salary: The pay range for this position is $82,500- $115,000 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.
Be ready to:
• Have responsibility for a sector or sectors of the corporate bond market
• Trade securities in both the new issue and secondary markets
• Monitor the daily news flow of securities markets and those sector's individual securities held in the Cincinnati Financial Corporation portfolios
• Prepare reports and present to senior management/executive officers on securities holdings
• Assist in the due diligence process of analyzing new investment ideas
• Collaborate with other team members on group research projects
• Monitor and track movements in key securities market indices, interest rates and credit spreads
• Work with internal managers and external industry professionals
• Provide information and data in a timely and efficient manner
Be equipped with:
• An understanding of financial metrics, ratio analysis, and return measurement and calculation
• A strong propensity for data research and analysis
o Strong quantitative skills with basic knowledge of key investment analytics metrics
o Active reader (industry reports, company reports, annual reports, 10k, 10q, etc.).
o Self-motivation to find other resources to support investment research process.
• Experience with appropriate applications & software systems (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Bloomberg, Aladdin and others).
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work as a member of a team
Bring education and experience from:
• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or relevant fields or equivalent work experience
• CFA designation not required initially but will be an expected educational pursuit
