Full Job Description
Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks an Investment Banking Sr Associate for its New York, NY location.

DUTIES: Prepare, analyze, and refine financial models, valuation analyses, research, and transaction materials to support client engagements, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness prior to client delivery. Contribute subject-matter expertise through knowledge sharing and collaboration with team members on analytical approaches and best practices. Support business development and client relationship efforts by monitoring market activity, preparing thematic industry analyses, and contributing analytical insights for prospective opportunities; participate in client calls and discussions as a technical and analytical contributor. Develop client presentation materials, including pitchbooks, confidential information memoranda (CIMs), management presentations, and board and investor materials; contribute to the development of key messages and analytical positioning in collaboration with senior bankers. Execute M&A and capital-raising transactions by independently owning assigned analytical workstreams and coordinating directly with clients and external advisors, including legal, accounting, and financing counterparts, in support of transaction execution. Present analytical findings, transaction alternatives, and data-driven recommendations to senior bankers and clients through written materials and verbal discussions. Apply Citi's internal risk management policies, committee processes, and product frameworks to support complex transaction approvals, acquisition financings, and strategic advisory engagements. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related financial occupation performing financial data analysis. Three (3) years of experience must include: Utilizing information in corporate financial statements and understanding the economic essence of important classes of complex business transactions; Analyzing companies' accounting policies to determine impact of transactions on its primary financial statements; Evaluating operations, business plans, and financial and economic forecasts to produce strategic and financial analyses relating to the execution of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and the pro forma impact of the transaction; Performing complex financial modelling for valuation purposes, including building leverage buyout models, merger models, sum-of-the- parts models, discounted cash flow models, comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction analysis; Supporting execution of public mergers and acquisitions transactions by performing transaction analysis, conducting public company due diligence, and contributing to valuation analyses, process strategy materials, and shareholder communications; and Analyzing and interpreting financial statements and credit rating analysis based on public rating agency methodologies including S&P and Moody's. 40 hrs./wk.
