Position Overview

Florida Physician Group, a member of HSA Hospitals (Hospital Systems of America), is seeking a Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist to join our expanding interventional radiology program at North Shore Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, South Florida.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, high-quality interventional radiology team in a well-established hospital setting with a strong commitment to patient-centered care, clinical excellence, and physician support.

The Interventional Radiologist is responsible for performing minimally invasive image-guided procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of vascular and non-vascular conditions, using modalities such as fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, and MRI. The physician works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality outpatient and inpatient care.
  • Perform a full range of interventional radiology procedures.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures (e.g., angiography, angioplasty, stenting, embolization, thrombolysis, image-guided biopsies, and ablations) using imaging guidance.
  • Interpret radiologic studies (X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI) to support procedural planning and ongoing patient management.
  • Provide pre-procedure consultations, obtain informed consent, and educate patients and families about indications, risks, benefits, and alternatives.
  • Manage intra-procedural decision-making, including device selection, imaging technique, and complication management.
  • Oversee post-procedure care, including hemostasis, pain control, monitoring for complications, and coordination of follow-up plans.
  • Contribute to patient safety, quality improvement, and clinical outcomes initiatives.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nursing staff, and allied health professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans; participate in case reviews, care planning meetings, and other collaborative decision-making.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of medical records in compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement, peer review, and continuing medical education (CME) activities.
  • Support or engage in clinical research, protocol development, and teaching initiatives, if applicable.
  • Comply with hospital bylaws, departmental policies, and professional practice regulations.
  • Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Interventional Radiology.
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine.
  • Additional fellowship training and board certification/eligibility in Interventional Radiology.
  • Active and valid medical license in the State of Florida.
  • Florida DEA registration upon hire.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment.
