OverviewNorthside Hospital is seeking an accomplished Interventional Pulmonologist to serve as a Program Leader for Interventional Pulmonology. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced physician leader to shape the vision, growth, and clinical excellence of a comprehensive Interventional Pulmonology program across one of Georgia’s leading health systems.
The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise, a collaborative leadership style, and a passion for advancing innovative pulmonary care. The Program Leader will work closely with physicians and leaders across Northside to establish a unified strategy, enhance multidisciplinary care, expand access to advanced procedures, and develop the next generation of Interventional Pulmonology physicians.
Responsibilities
The Program Leader will provide strategic and clinical leadership for Interventional Pulmonology activities and providers throughout Northside Hospital. Responsibilities will include:
- Provide system-wide leadership for Interventional Pulmonology physicians, clinical activities, and program development.
- Develop and implement a unified strategic plan for Interventional Pulmonology across Northside.
- Establish and standardize clinical pathways, quality measures, and procedural protocols to promote consistent, high-quality care.
- Evaluate and optimize procedural locations, technology, staffing, and infrastructure to support program growth and operational excellence.
- Partner with Thoracic Surgery to strengthen surgical referrals and develop comprehensive multidisciplinary pathways for patients with complex thoracic disease.
- Lead the growth and adoption of advanced technologies and procedures, including robotic bronchoscopy and bronchoscopic valve therapies.
- Recruit, mentor, and align future Interventional Pulmonology physicians, creating a strong foundation for continued program development.
- Collaborate with Oncology, Radiology, Anesthesiology, Thoracic Surgery, and hospital leadership to advance multidisciplinary care and support strategic program expansion.
- Promote a culture of clinical excellence, innovation, collaboration, quality, and physician engagement.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a board-certified/board-eligible Pulmonary and Critical Care physician with fellowship training and significant clinical experience in Interventional Pulmonology. Candidates should demonstrate:
- Extensive experience in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy.
- Expertise with contemporary Interventional Pulmonology technologies and procedures.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in physician leadership and program development.
- A track record of clinical excellence, quality improvement, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A vision for expanding access to advanced pulmonary services and developing a leading regional Interventional Pulmonology program.
- A commitment to physician mentorship, recruitment, and development.
