The Interventional Business Manager (iBM) is responsible for leading a high-performing field-based team focused on driving adoption, growth, and execution of Glaukos' interventional glaucoma portfolio across a defined geographic area. This leadership role is accountable for achieving revenue objectives, developing regional business strategies, and enhancing field effectiveness through coaching, talent development, and operational excellence. The Director partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders in Interventional Glaucoma, Corneal Health, Practice Integration, Strategic Accounts, and Market Access to ensure alignment and execution of key commercial initiatives. Consistent with the expectations of a senior sales leadership role, the position requires broad business acumen, strategic influence, and the ability to lead through others while managing complex market dynamics. This role plays a critical part in advancing Glaukos' mission by strengthening customer partnerships and expanding access to innovative ophthalmic therapies.

What will you do?
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Interventional Business Managers to achieve and exceed assigned sales and business objectives.
  • Establish regional business plans, operational priorities, and execution strategies that align with company goals.
  • Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain high-performing field talent while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
  • Conduct regular field visits and co-travel opportunities to provide performance coaching, mentorship, and development support.
  • Partner with Area Directors, Regional Directors, and commercial leadership to ensure strategic alignment across territories.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, strategic accounts, and high-value customers.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Practice Integration, Market Access, Strategic Accounts, Corneal Health, and Interventional Glaucoma teams to drive business outcomes.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, reimbursement developments, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Lead business reviews, practice onboarding initiatives, and customer engagement strategies that strengthen commercial execution.
  • Manage regional resources effectively and provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership regarding business performance


How will you get here?
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive sales, marketing, or commercial leadership experience within medical devices, healthcare, biotechnology, or ophthalmology.
  • Demonstrated success leading field-based sales teams and achieving consistent revenue growth through effective coaching, talent development, and execution excellence.
  • Strong understanding of reimbursement processes, practice integration models, provider economics, and surgical sales environments.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders, develop strategic business plans, and execute within complex matrix organizations.
  • Advanced communication, leadership, analytical, and business management skills with experience utilizing CRM platforms, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint. The scope and leadership expectations align with a senior commercial leadership role responsible for driving results through others and influencing regional business strategy.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required.
  • MBA or other advanced business or healthcare-related degree preferred
