Job Description

Mayo Clinic in Arizona is seeking a board-certified Internal Medicine Physician to join the Division of General Internal Medicine in a unique combined role spanning Executive Health and Integrative Medicine.

The Division of General Internal Medicine is an ambulatory practice that includes Executive Health, Integrative Medicine and Health, International Medicine, and Consultative Medicine. We are seeking a clinician with an innovative mindset who is passionate about delivering highly personalized, consultative care and who thrives in a collaborative academic environment.

Position Highlights

In this role, the selected candidate will provide exceptional, patient-centered, evidence-informed care in an episodic, non-primary care setting. The integrative medicine practice supports internally referred patients, focusing on health promotion and symptom management through lifestyle-based and natural approaches, including stress management and supplement reviews. The Executive Health program emphasizes personalized care, meaningful patient interactions, and collaboration with specialists across the institution.

This position offers the opportunity to work within the Mayo model of care, with access to top-tier diagnostic resources, world-renowned subspecialists, and strong interdisciplinary support. Ancillary services that support integrative medicine include acupuncture, massage, and yoga, in addition to dedicated administrative and nursing staff. The practice environment is designed to foster comprehensive, unhurried patient care and innovation in clinical delivery.

Candidates will have the opportunity to participate in Mayo Clinic's academic mission through the "three shields" of clinical practice, education, and research. Teaching opportunities are available through the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science, including medical student and resident education, with potential opportunities in fellowship education as well.

Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a physician who combines outstanding clinical judgment with excellent communication skills, professional maturity, and a collaborative approach to care. The ideal candidate will be comfortable serving a consultative, non-primary care patient population and interested in helping grow a distinctive clinical and academic program. Prior leadership experience, a systems-thinking mindset, and interest in innovation, education, and research are highly valued.

Qualifications

  • Board certification in Internal Medicine.
  • Fellowship training or board certification in Integrative Medicine.
  • Eligibility for or ability to obtain an unrestricted Arizona medical license.
  • Demonstrated excellence in outpatient internal medicine.
  • Strong communication skills and the professional maturity to provide a high-touch, episodic experience for a non-primary care patient population.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience or strong interest in Executive Health, Integrative Medicine, lifestyle medicine, or consultative internal medicine.
  • Experience and training in the application of Artificial Intelligence in the clinical setting.
  • Interest in healthcare innovation, including areas such as digital health, preventive medicine or related models of advanced personalized care and wellness.
  • Experience in leadership, program development, education, and scholarly activity.

  • Medical: Multiple plan options.
