As an International Trade Compliance Analyst - Level 4 located in Redondo Beach, CA, you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. The preferred location for this role is Redondo Beach, CA. May consider one of the following major Space sector locations: San Diego, CA; Linthicum, MD; or McLean, VA.

This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Manage comprehensive internal export and import controls to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies in the conduct of international marketing, sales, supply chain and other business activities
  • Providing guidance and interpretation of USG regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR) complex scenarios
  • Prepare, submit to and obtain from the US government all necessary export and import authorizations, permits, and certifications
  • Execute operational processes to ensure regulatory trade compliance through gate reviews of technical data, foreign travel, foreign visits and export and import shipments
  • Maintain applicable trade compliance records and reporting requirements in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Support performance metrics for export processes
  • Collaborate with various functional areas to develop and implement appropriate authorization strategies to meet business requirements and ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies
  • Determine and validate appropriate commodity jurisdiction and classification when conducting the order of review to include applicability of formal Commodity Jurisdiction or CCATS submission
  • Independently assess complex transactions and determine applicability of internal gate reviews, licenses, exceptions, and exemptions
  • In coordination with the Law Department, investigates and supports disclosure of potential non-compliance, and development and implementation of effective corrective actions
  • Represent the organization as a prime contact on complex contracts or projects, internal working groups, and capture activities. Interact with senior internal and external personnel on high visibility matters often requiring coordination between organizations
  • Mentor junior level Analysts and Technical Advisors on export regulations and internal processes and procedures
  • Develop and deliver presentations, including Export General Awareness training, program/function specific export training, lessons learned, and program/capture export licensing strategy updates to Division leadership
  • Other duties as assigned


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of professional experience - OR - Master's degree with 6 years of professional experience - OR - PhD with 4 years of professional experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
  • Experience utilizing and applying the ITAR and EAR


PreferredQualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of Customs/Census, FAR/DFARS, and other US Government Regulations.
  • Experience in reviewing and understanding contracts, subcontracts, and associated scope of work and requirements.
  • Knowledge of and proficiency with DESCARTE OCR EASE Export & Import Global Trade Compliance Software.
  • Experience providing training to export licensing personnel and functional requesters.
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products

Primary Level Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $176,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
