Position SummaryUnder the direction of the Manager, International Recruitment, in consultation with the Director of International Recruitment, the International Recruitment Specialist supports activities related to international recruitment to maximize attraction, lead development, and recruitment conversion processes (to application, deposit and registration stages).
Primary areas of concentration for the incumbent will include agent management (helping to manage agent contracts, invoice payment, agent training and inquiry support), prospect and applicant conversion tactics (development of conversion campaigns by program area or country), and recruitment outreach (e.g. participation and presentations in virtual and in person events on or off campus). The incumbent will be expected to travel within Canada (primarily Ontario), prepare and lead presentations, maintain a thorough understanding of Centennial programs and services, as well as information on common international student needs (e.g. process to apply for a study permit, application and payment processes). The incumbent will have shared responsibility for recruitment targets and divisional KPI's, as directed by their Manager.
In addition, the incumbent plays a key role in liaising with offshore Centennial staff - and leading agent training (and refresh) activities. They will serve as major liaisons with academic units as well as other college divisions (e.g. Admissions, Enrolment Services, Student Services, National Recruitment & Events).
Responsibilities - Advises prospective students, applicants, agents, and other stakeholders on Centennial College programs, admission requirements, application procedures, tuition fees, study permit processes, and student support services to support informed decision-making and successful conversion outcomes.
- Conducts proactive follow-up with prospective students and applicants through email, telephone, WhatsApp, Microsoft Teams, virtual meetings, and in-person interactions to encourage progression through the recruitment and enrolment funnel.
- Develops and implements targeted conversion activities and campaigns by country, region, program area, or applicant segment to support recruitment objectives and enrolment targets.
- Prepares and delivers presentations to prospective students, parents, guidance counsellors, community organizations, agents, and other audiences at virtual and in-person recruitment events.
- Represents Centennial College at recruitment fairs, high schools, community events, pathway partner activities, and other outreach opportunities within the Greater Toronto Area and throughout Ontario, with occasional travel as required.
- Supports the management, follow-up, and distribution of leads generated through recruitment activities, marketing campaigns, and digital engagement platforms, including website chatbot inquiries and CRM systems.
- Provides administrative, analytical, reporting, and financial support activities related to international recruitment operations, enrolment forecasting, and performance monitoring.
- Supports the development of reports, business plans, recruitment strategies, and operational recommendations through research and analysis of data from Centennial College systems and external sources including OCAS, VAS, CICan, IRCC, and other sector-related resources.
- Tracks and monitors international recruitment performance indicators, including applicant volumes, conversion rates, registration outcomes, country performance, campaign results, and enrolment trends.
- Analyzes recruitment data and prepares reports for Managers and Directors to support operational planning, forecasting, decision-making, and target monitoring.
- Conducts analysis of agent performance, recruitment partner effectiveness, and conversion outcomes and provides recommendations and reporting to management.
- Supports CRM Recruit implementation and ongoing utilization by generating reports, conducting analyses, identifying trends, and providing operational support related to recruitment activities and conversion initiatives.
- Serves as a primary point of contact for international recruitment agents, offshore staff, pathway partners, and other recruitment stakeholders by responding to inquiries and providing timely information, guidance, and support.
- Plans, develops, and delivers agent training sessions, refresher workshops, information briefings, and resource materials to ensure agents remain informed of college programs, admission requirements, recruitment processes, and institutional updates.
- Builds and maintains productive working relationships with agents, pathway partners, community organizations, academic units, and internal stakeholders to support recruitment and enrolment objectives.
Qualifications/Experience - 3-year diploma/degree, or equivalent in Business Administration, International Relations, Communications, Education, Office Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in sales, ideally within recruitment, staffing, or a related professional services environment.
- Customer service experience with a strong focus on relationship building.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Intercultural awareness and experience engaging with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with digital communication and productivity tools, including AI platforms, web-based applications, SMS, messaging platforms, and video conferencing tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams and Zoom)
- Advanced SIS expertise in Banner is considered an asset
- Additional languages (written and or/verbal) are considered an asset
