Position SummaryRhino Tool House (RTH) is seeking a highly experienced Internal Project Manager to lead and coordinate cross-functional initiatives across our business systems, operations, and technology functions. This role is the connective tissue between our business units - translating strategic priorities into structured, trackable projects and driving them to completion.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned Atlassian suite power user who can own our Jira environment end-to-end: configuring workflows, maintaining our project roadmap, coaching team members on best practices, and ensuring work is visible, prioritized, and moving. You will operate across scrum and kanban methodologies, supporting both development-style sprints and continuous operational workflows.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject & Program Management- Own and maintain RTH's Business Systems Improvement Roadmap, ensuring initiatives are scoped, resourced, sequenced, and tracked to completion.
- Lead cross-functional projects spanning ERP (Acumatica), CRM/CPQ (HubSpot), integration (Celigo), and operational workflows.
- Facilitate project kickoffs, sprint planning, retrospectives, stakeholder reviews, and status reporting.
- Identify dependencies, risks, and blockers proactively; drive resolution or escalation as needed.
- Maintain consistent project documentation: charters, requirements, decision logs, and runbooks.
Jira & Atlassian Suite Administration- Serve as the primary Jira administrator - configure and maintain projects, boards, workflows, screens, issue types, permissions, and automation rules.
- Design and manage scrum and kanban board configurations appropriate to each team's working style.
- Build and maintain dashboards, filters, and reports that give leadership and team leads real-time visibility into project health, velocity, and backlog status.
- Integrate Jira with other tools in the RTH tech stack where applicable (e.g., Confluence, Slack, or third-party connectors).
- Train and coach team members on Jira best practices; establish and enforce consistent taxonomy (epics, stories, tasks, labels, components).
- Manage Atlassian licensing, user administration, and periodic health audits of the Jira environment.
Stakeholder Alignment & Communication- Partner with department leads across sales, operations, finance, and IT to gather requirements and translate them into actionable Jira epics and user stories.
- Prepare and deliver concise project status updates for leadership - highlighting progress, risks, decisions needed, and upcoming milestones.
- Facilitate cross-team coordination to resolve competing priorities and ensure the roadmap reflects business value.
Process Improvement- Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend improvements to how RTH plans, executes, and delivers projects.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives including automation rollouts, system integrations, and operational change management.
- Contribute to building internal PM capability: templates, playbooks, and standards that scale as RTH grows.
QualificationsRequired- 5+ years of project management experience, with a strong track record of delivering complex cross-functional projects.
- Expert-level Jira proficiency - Jira Software administration, workflow configuration, automation, advanced roadmaps, and reporting. This is not a 'can use Jira' role; this is a 'owns Jira' role.
- Solid working knowledge of the broader Atlassian suite (Confluence, Jira Service Management, etc.).
- Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP) - Jira Administrator or ACP-Project Management certification required.
- Demonstrated experience managing both scrum and kanban methodologies simultaneously across different teams.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams without dropping details.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills - comfortable presenting to executives and facilitating working sessions with individual contributors.
Preferred- PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent project management certification (preferred but not required).
- Experience working in a distribution, manufacturing, or industrial products environment.
- Prior exposure to business systems projects (ERP, CRM, or integration initiatives) - specific platform knowledge not required; ability to ramp quickly is what matters.
- Comfort with data: ability to interpret reports and contribute to data-driven project decisions.
