Kernodle Clinic is Duke Health's flagship community-based, multi-specialty practice in the western market. We are recruiting a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Internal Medicine OR Family Medicine physician to join our established Burlington-based outpatient practice serving Alamance County, North Carolina.

Kernodle Clinic is Duke's largest community-based multi-specialty practice, with approximately 60 physicians and 46 advanced practice providers across 15 medical and surgical specialties, supported by a 75,000-square-foot main office, walk-in clinic, and multiple specialty satellite services.

• Internal Medicine Clinic - Burlington, NC (Outpatient)

Note: This opportunity is specific to the Burlington Internal Medicine practice. Prior references to Elon or Mebane Internal Medicine openings have been retired.

Burlington Internal Medicine Team & Practice Highlights

• Active teaching environment with rotating PA students and medical students
• Established outpatient Internal Medicine practice in Burlington
• Team-based culture with 10 physicians and 5 advanced practice providers
• Call: 1:15, office call only
• After-hours answering service fields first
• No inpatient responsibilities
• Typical patient volume: 18-24 patients per day
• Abridge AI Scribe support
• Dedicated 1:1 MD:MA or nurse staffing model
• Active teaching environment with rotating PA students and medical students

Compensation & Benefits

Kernodle Clinic offers a robust compensation plan that rewards clinical productivity. Duke contributes up to 13% of salary to the selected retirement plan, with excellent benefits, relocation support, and college tuition assistance for dependent children.

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine or dual board certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics
• Commitment to patient-centered, team-based outpatient care
