About this role:
The Internal Logistics Supervisor leads a shift team of material handlers responsible for line-side replenishment and in-plant material movement. This first-level leadership role ensures production is supplied on time, safely and with accurate inventory transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervises a shift team of material handlers performing replenishment and material movement.
- Ensures on-time, accurate delivery of materials to the production lines.
- Assigns work, manages staffing coverage, attendance and performance on the shift.
- Owns inventory transaction accuracy and supports cycle counts.
- Enforces safe operation of forklifts, tuggers and material-handling equipment (OSHA, PIT).
- Executes Lean logistics routines (kanban, milk-run) and standard work.
- Escalates material shortages and flow issues and supports rapid problem-solving.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 2+ years of warehouse, material-handling or internal-logistics operations.
- 2+ years leading, coordinating or directing the work of others in an operational setting.
- 2+ years ERP/WMS transactions and inventory accuracy.
- Availability to work rotating shifts, weekends and overtime based on production needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Strong safety orientation, including OSHA and powered-industrial-truck requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and specialized experience.
- Knowledge of Lean logistics (kanban, milk-run, pull systems).
- Forklift/PIT trainer certification.
Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 - $129,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.
Other Compensation
Thisposition may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
