About this role:Leads the safe, accurate and timely preparation of material kits that support factory production. The Warehouse Supv Kitting translates the production plan, work orders and bills of material into daily kitting priorities; coordinates labor, equipment and staging space; and ensures complete, traceable kits are delivered to the correct point of use when required.
Key Responsibilities:- Daily kitting execution: Plan, assign and supervise picking, verification, consolidation, labeling, staging and delivery of kits based on the production schedule and priority changes.
- Kit accuracy and readiness: Confirm each kit contains the correct part numbers, quantities, revisions, lot/serial information and required documentation. Establish verification controls and escalate incomplete, damaged, suspect or nonconforming material.
- Material flow and line support: Coordinate replenishment, point-of-use delivery, return-to-stock and empty-container or returnable flow. Maintain visual control of kit status and protect production from shortages, late kits and misrouted material.
- Inventory control: Maintain accurate physical and system inventory for kit components, WIP and staged kits.
- ERP/WMS discipline: Ensure timely and accurate transactions for receipts, transfers, reservations, issues/backflush, adjustments, reversals, kit completion and material returns.
- Continuous improvement: Use Lean problem solving and root-cause methods to improve layout, ergonomics, material presentation and flow.
- Documentation and escalation: Maintain complete records for kits built and in process, shift handoffs, shortages, discrepancies and corrective actions. Escalate risks early with clear facts, impact, owner and recovery plan.
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of experience in warehouse, materials, inventory control, production logistics or kitting within a manufacturing or similarly complex operating environment.
- 1+ year of experience leading, coordinating or supervising hourly employees, including daily work assignment, coaching and problem resolution
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience using an ERP, WMS or inventory system to execute and verify material transactions; ability to investigate system-versus-physical discrepancies.
- Experience with cycle counting inventory reconciliation and root-cause corrective action.
- Working knowledge of warehouse safety, PPE and material-handling practices.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and standard business systems.
- Ability to work the assigned shift, support overtime or alternate schedules when operations require, and perform work in a factory/warehouse environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety (OSHA, PIT).
Pay RangeThe annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 - $129,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.
Other CompensationThis position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
