About the team Internal Control team of TikTok focuses on the risks and challenges faced by global business operations, supporting business stakeholders in establishing appropriate internal procedures to safeguard the development of our business. Here, you will have the opportunity to learn about TikTok's diverse business ecosystem, understand its operational principles, resource allocation methods, and participate in designing internal management mechanisms. Responsibilities: - Responsible for designing and evaluating the adequacy of internal controls in place to mitigate key risks, key activities include: - Lead global projects to review policies, define processes, identify risks, controls, and opportunities for enhancement across business units. Provide control guidance during business process changes and contribute to company-wide initiatives, and support risk management activities. - Drive insights-driven risk work within the Internal Control team through developing, implementing and monitoring business data to promptly identify and address risks, as well as to drive process improvements, and support continuous risk monitoring implementation with data analytics. - Foster and maintain relationships with key business stakeholders to ensure respective key risks in the business are adequately addressed and to facilitate improvements in its control environment. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including all three lines of defense, for in-depth data-driven risk advisory support, process enhancement initiatives, and root cause analysis for fraud prevention. - Drive a risk-aware culture in the spirit of continuous improvement through proactively engaging with stakeholders and key cross-functional partners. Stay abreast of emerging technology, industry trends, and cutting-edge risks.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: - Individuals who are completing or have recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Data Analytics, Auditing, or a related discipline. - Having internal controls, risk management, data analytics, consulting, business process improvement and/or internal audit internship experience. - Project management skills (planning, fieldwork, documentation, remediation, etc.) to support execution of Internal Control initiatives. - Support the prioritisation and management of ongoing projects, stakeholders, team capacity, business requests, and incidents. - Experience being a trusted and valuable risk business partner to a variety of cross-functional stakeholders, demonstrating strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to drive action in the midst of ambiguous situations. Preferred Qualifications: - Ability to rapidly understand and identify enhancements and improvements to unfamiliar business processes with minimal background information, including the ability to formally document processes and related risks, controls or enhancements within flowcharts or process narratives. - Truly passionate about working on large and complex data sets to unravel actionable insights, drive discussions and solve challenging problems in a new and rapidly growing space. - Excellent structured thinking, data analysis skills, and cross-organizational communication and collaboration abilities. - Able to think and work independently in a flexible team environment and handle multiple assignments simultaneously. - Working experience across countries and regions is preferred. - Able to complete reports and communicate with global staff and leadership independently.

[For Pay Transparency]Compensation Description (Annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $76000 - $128000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and the country work location. Employees have day one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others. Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
