Full Job Description
What You'll Do
  • Embed with Product Delivery leadership. Serve as the go-to comms partner to Engine's Interim CTO, VP of Brand and Design, and product leaders, building deep understanding of their teams, priorities, and communication needs.
  • Translate complexity into clarity. Turn technical and product strategy (roadmaps, architecture decisions, org changes, platform bets) into clear, compelling communications that resonate across Product Delivery and the broader company.
  • Drive comms plans for the moments that matter. Own the comms strategy and execution for major Product Delivery moments: product launches, org changes, leadership transitions, roadmap updates, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Craft the narrative. Write and produce materials for Product Delivery all-hands, town halls, executive memos, quarterly reviews, and manager cascades.
  • Operate cross-functionally. Partner with GTM, Marketing, People, and Finance to make sure product and technical work is well understood and well positioned internally.
  • Coach leaders. Support product, engineering, and design leaders on their own communications, from written memos to live all-hands.
  • Build with AI. Design and maintain repeatable projects, agents, and automations that capture templated approaches and learn individual leader tone of voice, so comms scales without losing signal and leaders can self-serve where it makes sense.
What You Bring
  • 7+ years in internal communications, executive communications, or technical program communications, ideally in a fast-scaling tech, SaaS, or product-led company.
  • A track record supporting senior technical and product leaders (CTO, CPO, VP Engineering, VP Product, VP Design), with the confidence and judgment to be their trusted advisor.
  • Genuine technical fluency. You're comfortable with product language, engineering trade-offs, and systems concepts, and you can translate complexity into clarity without dumbing it down.
  • Exceptional writing and editorial instincts. You can shift your voice, tighten a message, and make a leader sound like their best self.
  • A strong operator's brain: you build plans, sequence messages, and run comms as a program, not one-off deliverables.
  • Comfort with ambiguity, including partnering with leaders through periods of transition and change.
  • Discretion, integrity, and the maturity to be trusted with sensitive information.

Applications for this role will be accepted through December 4th, 2026 or until the role is filled. We encourage you to apply early, as we may begin reviewing applications before the deadline.
