  • Design process control strategies and pressure relief systems
  • Conduct field verifications and facility as-builting to maintain Process Safety Information
  • Use CAD and data-linked platforms for consistency across specifications and drawings
  • Lead small-to-medium process packages from concept to completion in a multidisciplinary environment

Intermediate Process Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop steady-state simulation models (e.g., HYSYS) to generate Heat & Material Balances (HMB) and evaluate process schemes.
  • Calculate sizes and write specifications for standard equipment adhering to API/ASME codes and QMS standards.
  • Create and maintain core engineering diagrams, including PFDs, UFDs, PSFDs, and P&IDs.
  • Design process control strategies, logic narratives, cause-and-effect matrices, and pressure relief systems.
  • Perform field verifications and facility as-builting (5-10% field work) to preserve Process Safety Information (PSI) and asset integrity.
  • Use CAD and data-linked platforms to maintain consistency across equipment lists, specifications, and drawings.
  • Lead small-to-medium process packages from concept to completion in a multidisciplinary environment.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university
  • Registered with APEGA, or eligible for registration, as a P. Eng.
  • 6 or more years of experience in process engineering, ideally in an EPCM environment.
  • Proven ability to build long-term, collaborative relationships with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills to consistently complete project deliverables (reports, drawings, specs) on time and budget.
  • Practical proficiency in process & hydraulic simulations, and standard productivity software (MS Office/operating systems).
  • Demonstrable teachability and commitment to lifelong learning; actively seeking feedback and rapidly acquiring new skills, and methodologies to adapt to evolving project requirements.
