Full Job Description
The Opportunity:

Tetra Tech is adding an Intermediate or Senior Civil Engineer to our Western Canada Engineering team based in Terrace, BC. This position is based in Terrace, BC.; however, we welcome applications from qualified candidates outside the area and are prepared to offer relocation support for the successful candidate.

Your Role:
  • Lead the planning, design, and delivery of civil infrastructure projects.
  • Manage projects from proposal through completion, including scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Prepare engineering reports, designs, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and proposals.
  • Perform technical assessments, site inspections, and engineering reviews.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Mentor Engineers-in-Training (EITs) and junior technical staff.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 10+ years of civil engineering experience, preferably within a consulting environment.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in B.C.
  • Strong project management and client relationship experience.
  • Experience with municipal infrastructure, land development, roads, drainage, and water/wastewater projects.
  • Experience preparing proposals and supporting business development.
  • Proficiency with Civil 3D and related design software is considered an asset.
  • Experience working with First Nations, Indigenous communities, or rural municipalities is considered an asset.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Local to Northwest B.C. is preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required to project sites in Northwest B.C.
