  • Assist with prototype builds and offer feedback to Engineering and R&D
  • Participate in cross-functional improvement initiatives
  • Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction projects

Compensation Range:
$40/hr - $45/hr
Intermediate Field Controls Technician

Daleville, VA | Up to 75% Travel Required

Take Your HVAC & Controls Skills on the Road

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting HVAC and controls systems, traveling to customer sites, and solving technical challenges in the field.

What You'll Do
  • Travel to customer jobsites-up to 75% on average-to troubleshoot and resolve HVAC and controls issues.
  • Provide technical support to Field Service Technicians onsite and remotely.
  • Troubleshoot controls programs, HMI systems, and unit/system interfaces.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues.
  • Support new product development and testing at Munters facilities.
  • Assist with prototype builds and provide feedback to Engineering and R&D.
  • Participate in Kaizen and cross-functional improvement initiatives.
  • Support continuous improvement and cost-reduction projects.
  • Work independently while collaborating with Service, Engineering, R&D, and Operations teams.

What We're Looking For
  • 2-4 years of industry experience or relevant trade school/certification.
  • Experience troubleshooting HVAC equipment and controls systems.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams.
  • Knowledge of HVAC components including compressors, valves, fans, and heat exchangers.
  • Experience working with equipment involving sheet metal, piping, valves, and heat exchangers.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively-up to 75%.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in active industrial/customer environments.
