Intermediate Electrical Engineer in Edmonton and help shape the future of power systems across North America. Working alongside industry-leading experts, you'll contribute to projects that support utilities, renewable energy developers, industrial clients, and communities through innovative engineering solutions. From system protection and SCADA integration to power system studies and electrical design, you'll play a key role in delivering resilient, reliable, and sustainable energy infrastructure.
Your Impact- Perform electrical engineering studies and analyses for power generation, transmission, distribution, substation, and renewable energy projects.
- Support the design, development, and implementation of protection and control systems, SCADA systems, and communications networks.
- Conduct power system studies, technical assessments, and engineering evaluations that help clients improve reliability and performance.
- Prepare high-quality technical reports, calculations, specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and practical solutions to complex engineering challenges.
- Participate in field investigations, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities when required.
- Assist project managers with planning, technical reviews, risk identification, and project execution.
- Contribute to a strong culture of safety, technical excellence, continuous learning, and ethical decision-making.
The Skills That Set You Apart- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum two years of experience in electrical engineering, power systems, protection and control, or related disciplines.
- Eligible to register as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) and committed to working toward professional engineering registration.
- Knowledge of power system fundamentals, electrical engineering principles, and engineering design practices.
- Experience with power system studies, SCADA systems, communications networks, protection systems, or utility infrastructure projects.
- Strong analytical, technical writing, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and willingness to travel occasionally to support project requirements.
CompensationCompensation:AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $85,100 - $112,800
MB & ON: $77,700 - $107,000
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $76,900 - $102,100
